Just Another Day in Paradise! Dog Friendly

Atlantic Sunrise B - This listing is half of a duplex. The beach is your backyard with lots of space for everyone, including your leashed pup. Take a short walk and dip your toes in the ocean. There are beautiful views from the balcony and deck. The first level offers a bedroom and bath, a spacious great room, a dining area, and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. The main living area includes comfy couches, a large HDTV, and access to an oceanfront deck for sunbathing. Set up your laptop and enjoy the free Wi-Fi. The full-size kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, and appliances large and small. It will be easy to cook up a delicious family meal. Harris Teeter, Publix, Winn Dixie, and Walmart are nearby for all your groceries. Upstairs, there is a large sunny main suite! The ensuite bath boasts a large walk-in shower and a separate powder area. The second floor includes a third bedroom that has two twin beds and a private bath. Spacious, convenient, and beautifully appointed, located in a private oceanfront setting but close to shopping and restaurants. We have many return guests that just love this oceanfront spot. Come and explore one of Florida's best island towns!

There are two parking spaces. Oversized vehicles will not fit. Several parking areas allow all-night parking.

Guests will be required to sign a rental agreement with Coastal Wave Properties. Guest Instructions will be sent 7 days before arrival provided the agreement is signed and all payments are made. If you need information before this, we are happy to offer it. We use a booking system called OwnerRez, and you will see communication coming through this system.

One dog is allowed, and there is a non-refundable fee. Guests must sign a pet addendum to the lease.

Damage protection is included with this rental, but guests are responsible for damages that exceed the policy.
There is a $300 credit card hold for the security deposit. You will be notified if there are any charges, and the hold will be released 7 days after you depart.

We use email to request signatures on our lease and send guest instructions. Please be sure to provide an email address that you will have access to and that you can check regularly. We also use text messaging to send you the door code and other necessary communication. Please provide a mobile phone number you will have during your stay.

We highly recommend that our guests purchase trip insurance for their protection. This is especially important during hurricane season, June through November.

When we first got there, there was a ton of trash that had not been picked up outside the unit and when I reached out to the manager, they said we would deal with it on Monday, which was a few days from that. And then it took a couple days to get picked up, which made it hard for us to put our trash out . They do seem to have an issue with bugs. When I got up in the am there was at least one or two Palmetto bugs (or roaches) in kitchen and upstairs. House is on the beach, but you cannot see over the dunes as it sits pretty low, that was unfortunate. The thing you look for when renting a house on the beach is to have a very good view of the ocean and the tide coming in, however from the upstairs and downstairs all you can see is the dunes, the boardwalk, and the far out Ocean. Outside of being able to walk to the beach, we could have stayed across the road and had the same experience . I like it to be very clean and the upstairs could use a good cleaning or maybe even remove the carpet and use area rugs. All in all, it was OK. There were a couple issues that came up while we were there that the hosts did respond to quickly but we more than likely will not be staying here again. It appears to me then instead of cared for as a home it was definitely something that was purchased for business purposes and could use some more TLC. The people next to us, and I both agreed that several of the rules required of the guests were outrageous given the state of the units.

Good Stay
All in all, a good stay and we enjoyed our time in the townhome. The house is clean, it is in a good location, the beach is literally just across the bridge, and it provides you access to all of the amenities in Fernandina Beach in minutes. I rated it a 4/5 due to just a few items: - It needs a little love. The bridge is very old wood with nails sticking out, etc. - Carpet in rooms is older and has some minor stains in areas. It’s definitely clean and you can tell but it’s an easy fix for the owners - we have small children and there was a book shelf that was (at one point) mounted to the wall but no longer is. I had to move it into the closet for the week to avoid a bad situation - Multiple times ants got into the house and into our beach bag left by the back door. Do NOT leave snacks in your beach bag by the back door (even if it’s just goldfish in baggies for kids) The good definitely outweighs the minor inconveniences above as reflected by my 4/5 rating. We felt very safe here and my family of 4 with 2 tiny humans (age 3 and 1) had a very good time. One other note: they had all of the kitchen utensils you would need to cook, pots, pans, etc. except a can opener. Additionally, there isn’t a pantry to store non-temperature regulated foods like chips, bread, etc. so plan for that when you’re at the grocery store

Close to everything
We just finished a week stay and the condo was wonderful - plenty of room, beach front, comfortable, and close to everything (dining, shopping….). The up and downstairs patios were great for enjoying ocean views. The property management team was wonderful! Helpful and attentive but not intrusive. Good communication! If you’re looking for a relaxed stress-free vacation, this is the place for you.

We enjoyed our stay and loved being so close to the beach and downtown Fernandina! The home is somewhat outdated, but more importantly everything was very clean upon arrival. Management frequently checked in with us prior to and at the beginning of our stay, which was nice.

The location of the property was great — easy distance to restaurants and town and right on beach. Property inside was tired and needs maintenance. Carpet is stained, paint is faded and scratched, boardwalk needs to be power washed, shower heads need to be replaced. Main tv is only 32 inch. Dirty under bed and couches. Couches were old and faded with a couple small holes.

Perfect Stay
This was an absolutely perfect beach property! Our family had a really amazing time! The house has its own boardwalk to the beach and it’s easy to go back in if you forget something. The views from the master bedroom are gorgeous. We are already starting to plan our trip for next summer! The listing is extremely accurate-there May be some things you think should be there, but aren’t, but also aren’t listed, so it is accurate. Things you should plan to bring our buy there: dish sponge, shower supplies (soap, Shampoo, etc.), additional garbage bags, additional dishwasher detergent, additional paper towels and toilet paper. Also, if you plan to cook, you may want to bring one of your preferred knives as the ones there, though plentiful, are not so great for cutting up veggies, etc. I wish we could have extended our stay, but stupid work got in the way! Anyone who stays here will truly enjoy!
