Wake up to beautiful views of the marsh! The Cozy Crab Yulee can be used as a fishing getaway or a quiet place to relax! You might see dolphins, manatees, sea turtles or marsh birds. Located on 0.7 private, shaded acres. Amenities include a fire pit, full kitchen, internet, cable, fishing poles, crab trap, bait bucket and washer/dryer. A 10-15 min drive to Amelia Island beaches. 2 adults/2 kids max.
Our guests have told us how much they enjoy the sunrises in the morning, watching the birds and fishing/crabbing. Even at low tide, the floating dock is on deep water. Bring your boat or even an RV (no water/sewer connections on site) to keep on the property. Note: we do have a boat lift and boat but it is for owner's use only; however, you can dock your boat on our floating dock which has bumpers. We do recommend not coming or going from the dock in your boat until at least 1.5 hours before and after low tide due to a few sand bars on the way out to the main channel. We can provide a map of how to get to and from the channel.
Guests have caught a wide variety of fish including, but not limited to: flounder, sheepshead, redfish, trout, and bottom fish like catfish, stingrays and little sharks! Guests have also enjoyed catching blue crabs in the crab trap.
We have wonderful neighbors so we ask that you not have any parties and not have any more than 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs, unless approved by us ($50 total pet fee). Please also make sure the person booking is the person staying (if it is different please disclose to us).
We have a Blink camera at the front and back doors which will be on and recording during all stays. Cameras point toward the front entry/parking area and dock areas. There are no interior cameras.
Guests will have access to the house, dock and fire pit on property. The 2 storage sheds on the property, the boat lift, boat and a storage bench in the laundry room are for owners use. Parking is available on the gravel pad in front of the house.
We live down the street from the cottage but will not be on property unless an issue arises.
Please, no swimming from the dock due to constantly moving tides and oyster beds. If you bring your own kayak or boat, just let us know and we will give you instructions on how to navigate the channels.
