"We spent the New Year on Bute and the was in the perfect location not only for its views over the Firth, but also for exploring the rest of the island. It did feel a little chilly on arrival, but with the clear instructions we were soon able to get it feeling nice and warm. We had to extend our visit for another night as we didn't realise the ferries didn't run on Bank Holiday, but this was not a problem - for Campbell or for us!! "The Glenisle Hotel is located in Lamlash with a stunning view across to the Holy Isle- from the top room. Central, and convenient for other eateries and bars, with a Co-op Market a short walk. Hotel was spotless and comfortable, with staff friendly and welcoming. Carpark was small, but enough space at front to park on road. A nice seat across from Hotel front entrance to take in the view 🤗 "

Good Breakfast

"I stayed in the Rosslea as I was attending a business meeting the next day. Firstly I was on the 3rd floor and there is no lift so if you have mobility issues could be an issue. The room itself was adequate but would benefit from a revamp. The tv was ancient but perfectly useable. The bed was 2 pushed together so was a little strange when sleeping. The breakfast was really good and was included with the stay. Overall I had a pleasant stay."

Idyllic and relaxing

"The hotel is minutes walking distance from the train station and the view down is idyllic itself looking towards the water. The check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful asked us if we would like to book our meal in the restaurant and although we were also told when breakfast was, I liked that everything you’d need to know was also on the key ring to your room. The room was spacious, the view was amazing from either windows and the shower was exceptional. The bed was so comfy and the coffee machine is a nice touch. I also love that the shampoo, conditioner and soaps are all scottish made and all natural. The extras of the dental kit (toothbrush and toothpaste) and shaving kit(shaving gel and razor) was a nice suprise. The breakfast was excellent, there was a lot of great choices available and the fruit tasted fresh. The bar area is also a nice place to have drinks or something to eat as it’s relaxing and full of character and charm. "
