"We had an amazing stay at this charming cottage! The location is unbeatable—just a short and easy walk to downtown Bryson City and the railway. We visited for the Polar Express and had a wonderful time. Even my elderly stepfather, who struggles with stairs and walking, was able to make the trip effortlessly.This is a classic small mountain town with a mix of older homes, which adds to its charm. If you’re expecting modern luxury homes, this isn’t the area—but the cottage itself is like visiting Grandma’s house in the best way. It’s quaint, cozy, and so welcoming.The house was immaculately clean, which is a big deal for me. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The host even left us holiday shortbread cookies, which was such a sweet touch! There’s also a hot tub, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and little extras like a foosball table and games.We brought my parents’ dogs along, and it was such a relief to have a pet-friendly place where they could join us. The host was kind and accommodating, and while we didn’t need anything during our stay, I felt confident they’d have helped if we had.This cottage was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. It’s reasonably priced, incredibly close to everything, and just felt like home. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit Bryson City. Highly recommend!Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Perfect location. We also joined our daughter and her family who were staying in a cabin about 15 min away. We enjoyed local shopping, restaurants, hiking and the beautiful scenery of Bryson City. The Polar Express experience was very well done and the perfect beginning to our family Christmas "

"Convenient to everything in Bryson City, 2 minute drive to anything in town. If you don't mind an uphill walk on your return, reasonably fit people could likely walk to town (with 2 young kids and the winter cold, we didn't try it!). The view of the town below was beautiful. Traveling at Christmas time, we were able to see the lights of the town and hear Christmas Music from the Polar Express from the deck, which was lovely. The size was adequate for our family of 4. If you are planning to make meals, be aware that (at the time of our stay) there was a microwave, air fryer, crock pot, and coffee pot. There is no oven, stove top, or griddle. You do have some cooking options, and there are also lots of restaurants very close by. This is 1 house that has been sub-divided into 2 living units. While you have 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a livingroom area all to yourself & not connected to the other unit, the other half of the house may be occupied (not sure if it's the property owner or another rental unit). There is one big wrap-around deck, although there is a gate which can be closed to separate deck spaces. The other unit was occupied during our stay, but we had no issues. Overall, a very nice holiday visit."
