I like how it was close to public transportation (Cable cars) and block away from union square. The room was extremely clean and nice.

Small but cozy place to feel San Francisco stay. Historical small building but it’s well maintained and clean!

The room was in a state of disrepair.

My husband and I stayed at White House Inn for 4 days, as a treat for me during some difficult hospital appointments. The photos looked lovely but sadly our stay was spoiled by non-existent housekeeping, dreadful breakfasts and very poor customer service. On arrival, we were asked if we would like housekeeping for our stay, but this never materialized. I complained twice and, on our last day, we did get a few extra towels, some shower gel and our room was tidied. They state breakfast is until 9.30 am, but the 1st morning there was nothing left at 9:00 am, the dining room was a shambles with dirty dishes everywhere and no clean tables. When I asked the staff if they could replenish the food, they were rude and unhelpful. It was the same the 2nd morning. There was no coffee and the espresso machine was not working, the food had nearly all gone and the tables were left with dirty dishes everywhere. Only on our last day was any breakfast available. Finally, on our last night, the piped music in the lobby was left on all night and I could not find anyone to help turn it off. I spoke with a member of staff about all this, and she advised me to email the hotel. I did this but nobody has replied to my email. I have also telephoned the hotel twice but have not been able to get through. I feel so disappointed, that I had to write this. I would definitely not stay there again; their customer service is awful and I do not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing break.

Overall great experience. Just was loud outside due to the employees from other hotels protesting daily regarding salary raise. I will recommend this hotel. Staff and installations are amazing.Thank you.
