Cheerful Quiet Seabrook-Kemah Condo near Clear Lake, NASA Space Center Houston

Relax in our comfortable updated ground floor condo with all the comforts of home and an added artist personal touch. Located 5 minutes from the NASA Space Center and the Methodist Medical Facility in Nassau Bay. The MD Anderson and UTMB Medical Facilities are within a 15 minute drive. Our corner unit is quiet with a shady courtyard. Coffee, teas and water are provided. Due to COVID-19, we take extra measures to sanitize all the touched surfaces in our cleaning procedures. The linins and towels are sanitized in the cleaning process, also.

Swimming pool and Tennis Courts are on the property. A wooded park is located across the street with hiking trails and more. Centrally located within a 5 minute drive to the Kemah Boardwalk, Space Center Houston, or nature and water activities on Galveston Bay. You can also experience Galveston with a 30 minute drive one day and experience the big city of Houston with a 30 minute drive another day. The area is quiet and away from the traffic but close to shopping and restaurants. Equipped with 2 flat screen TV's, granite counter tops and designer art and furnishings. Experience our diverse waterfront community of Seabrook, filled with nature birding trails and boats and piers with sunsets over the water!

We take extra care to steam sanitize the linens and towels between each new guest stay. For your personal use, a washer and dryer is also in the condo.

This is a bright cheerful condo with colorful accents, designer art and furnishings with attention to details to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. For your convenience there is a full size stove, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, and dishwasher with plenty of counter space for cooking and bar that opens into the living room. We provide all the necessary utensils for cooking. Coffee, assortment of teas, creamer, butter, salt, pepper and condiments are provided for our daily and weekly guest. A private patio with table and chairs for morning coffee opens into a courtyard for guests. There is a large 43" flat screen TV equipped with ROKU and Xfinity cable in the living room and a 26" flat screen TV in the bedroom. The condo has Xfinity cable and high-speed Wi-Fi and Roku streaming sticks on both TV's for watching TV with Netflix, Hulu and many more channels.
The outside amenities at the condo recreation center include a large pool with covered patio, grills, tables and chairs and tennis courts all private for our guest!

Good location

We enjoyed our stay. There was a furnace issue in early January, but the contact person quickly corrected the problem. The apartment had so many kitchen and linen/bedroom items. It was well stocked -- even had some grocery items in the pantry. I do wish the TV carried Fox News, the Weather Channel, and ESPN.

This property is convenient to M.D. Anderson in League City and we were so glad to find a place near the hospital for a month stay. This property was quiet and the art created a peaceful atmosphere. The location was convenient to shopping, restaurants and parks a great fit for our needs.

A lovely one bedroom condo with very friendly neighbors. It was very quiet and in a great location. Ruth is a wonderful host who is very responsive. The condo was well appointed and comfortable. My husband and I will be renting it again next year.

I guess if you are reading this review you might be thinking of renting this condo. My advice is don’t. The description & photos provided by the owner, who is a writer & professional photographer, in my view, use a copious amount of artistic licence & significantly mis-represent her condo. I emailed the owner after our first day to advise how bitterly disappointed we were & identified many things that fall well below her description & modern expectations. I hoped to share the emails I sent & photos with you, but Vrbo do not allocate adequate space in this review to do so. To give you a flavour: the condo is basic & very tired, cheery no - dreary yes, musty smell throughout, patio boxed in by a 6ft high fence, dilapidated old bar-b-q outside the front door, damaged blinds, kitchen cupboard shared by food, broom/mop & trash, fridge & freezer with opened leftover food, bedroom closet a junk room, kitchenware & utensils all oddments (owner stated they had been ‘re-purposed’ from her mother), small cupboard under ac vent looks like a dungeon entrance. And so on. On day 3 the owners husband made an unannounced visit on the pretext of addressing the pervading musty smell throughout the condo, being masked by air fresheners everywhere. He stated, if we wanted ‘we could move to a hotel at our cost’ & ‘the money’s ours’ - ‘this is Texas’. How about that for cordial hospitality? We vacated after 5 days; ‘we could not stay any longer as it was ruining our holiday.’ The owner describes her condo as having ‘all the amenities of a luxury hotel’. Never in a million years (since I emailed her the owner has edited her overview & removed the word ‘luxury’, but this doesn’t alter the reality). In essence it is a low rate condo on a low rent complex. If you decide to rent after reading this review your expectations should be low & then you won’t be disappointed. By the way, her husband was right; the money is theirs. They were not even courteous enough to authorise a refund for the remainder of our rental. Engaging Vrbo Traveller Care involves hours on the phone & many unanswered emails. They are world class at ‘kicking the can down the road’, hoping the traveller loses the will to live. All talk - no action - no feedback. Spare yourself a large helping of disappointment & hassle; choose alternative accommodation.

Affordable and clean

If you’re looking for a place to stay at this price point it was great. Clean apartment, nicely decorated, and responsive owner. I would suggest a few updates though, such as a new toilet seat as the one in the apartment is scuffed up. A ceiling fan in the bedroom would be a plus, too. Overall, an affordable play to stay in a great location.

Just as expected!

The pictures are accurate! The condo was just as expected. My family of 4 enjoyed our stay here. It was just the right size for my husband, myself, our 5 year old, and 1 year old. It was really nice that they had a pack and play available! The neighbors were all really nice and friendly. We enjoyed the pool, and the park and splash pad across the street. The owners were great about answering any questions we had! The only thing I didn't like about the condo was that it smelled like smoke. All the neighbors smoke, so I'm not sure if that is where it was coming from or not, but all of our things smelled like smoke and had be rewashed when we got home.
