I was sent texts welcoming me up to a couple hours before I arrived for my reservation only to find that the hotel was CLOSED after a 12 hour drive and I had no where for me and my daughter to sleep late at night. The hurricane that had moved through a couple days before meant several places were closed (though others were not). A heads up that we’d be without a place to sleep would have been nice BEFORE we drove all the way there. Good thing Walmart’s parking lot is open.

beds were comfy.. a/c worked great.. carpet was nice and clean.. towels were thick and fluffy.. liked the fridge & microwave.. also the window seat was bonus.. staff was friendly.. my downsides were i never stayed in a microtel before so was surprised there were no closets.. my room was missing the desk chair.. and the handle for the shower would come off easily.. if you use the do not disturb sign and even though you take it off by 7am housekeeping will not clean your room.. and when i did not use the sign the next night housekeeping still did not clean the room.. was inconvenient to have to get fresh towels & washcloths every night as well as not having trash taken out & having to stack it on the floor around the can.. oh and if you swim and use the hotel towels you have to leave them by the pool and get new ones at the front desk.. i understand this is because of people stealing the towels but still inconvenient.. overall my stay was fine..

Decent for the money
The hotel was clean, the rooms were nice. The breakfast was basically strictly continental, not much to offer and only thing hot was the waffles. If it rains a little, the pool gets closed all day. The towel situation was a struggle to get clean towels. The night desk receptionist was great and she was very accommodating and polite. The person that worked the daytime front desk/maintenance, was not nice at all. You'd ask him a question and he'd act like he couldn't speak. Never smiled and as far as I'm concerned just all out rude. He shouldnt be working in an industry that requires customer service. Overall, our stay was pretty good and served its purpose, especially for the price. But will probably pick a different hotel next time and pay a little more to get a better experience.
