It's situated amongst beautiful aspen trees which were just turning during our stay. We had two dogs with us who had an excellent time too! Great location, close to the lake and near Eagle Rock trail and the Gnome Forest. The home was very clean and comfortable and it worked out well for our family, which included a newborn. Although, it’s 3 bedrooms it felt comfortable for 4 people and not sure if anyone else would fit at the dining table or on the living room furniture that was on the smaller side. We loved the location above all else. A quick walk right down the street to the Tahoe pines beach and dock! We loved taking the kayak out here for a relaxing afternoon. We also enjoyed the eagle rock hike nearby. Only a 10 minute drive to Meeks Bay for a sandy beach, and less than that to eat dinner at Sunnyside. It was close to Palisades resort. House was recently remodeled. Perfect for the two of us and our dog. The cabin might be tight in the living area for big families but during the summer it’s probably not a problem. Not much to do with 8ft of snow around, unless you’re a skier or snowboarder. Apr 25, 2024 #### Warm Updated Home We stayed during the 2nd week of April. There was still snow, but the roads were clear, which made it a lot easier to drive to and from the Palisades. The home itself, is really nice. Kitchen and bathrooms are all updated with heated bathroom floors and toilets. The heater kept the whole home warm. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of pillows and blankets. Kitchen was stocked with pot/pans, dishes, and plenty of utensils, and a dishwasher. We are a family of four and it was a good size for us. Are only beef was the cleaners not showing up until checkin time to clean (4pm). By the time management company was able to send someone out to look at it was our last night. I believe it should be replaced, the condition of the box spring were pretty disgusting as well. We also had issue with clean linen, old bed pillows and towels very old and stained. I went to wash them myself but the housekeeping must have forgot to leave any laundry pods for us and again management company didn't come through with a solution until our last day. It's unfortunate because the house itself is awesome so if owner would replace the bed and purchase new bed pillows throughout and new linens this place would a great place to rent. ##### Susan p. Nicely remodeled, Tahoe cabin nestled in the quaking aspen trees, At the end of a private lane. I would’ve given this home five stars but for a few things. The Tahoe Pines private dock key didn’t work.
