Wedding in Homer
The location was perfect! Everything about our stay was awesome. Our daughter stayed with us the last night and Donna was very welcoming regarding her situation (her friends left a day early). We never grew tied of the gorgeous view.

Great stay with fantastic views!
This cabin had the best views. We stayed here 3 nights, but I would have loved to stay another couple of nights. Views absolutely can't be beat! Host is so sweet and helpful. Very clean and has a full kitchen. Amazing stay. Trust me, book several nights!!!

Perfect beach cabin retreat!
Everything about this amazing beachside cabin is welcoming, clean and comfortable! The photos don’t do it justice. A perfect place to relax and watch the tides and surrounding beauty of Kachemak Bay! Definitely our favorite place to stay in Homer!

Cozy waterfront!
The cabin had a beautiful view and so cozy! We loved being able to walk down to the beach and walk up and down near the water! The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was very clean!! It was nice to meet the owner! She was very nice! We wish we could of stayed longer we loved Homer!! We will be back again!!

Superb! Even better then we expected!!
Our cabin was beautiful, decorated very well, supplied with everything we needed and the view from our cabin was breathtaking!! Thank you Donna for making our first trip to Alaska so incredible!! If we ever return we would definitely want to stay at Homer Beachside Cabins! We highly recommend it to anyone!!!

Amazing cabin, wonderful owner!
We had an amazing stay. Hands down the most beautiful beach side cabin you can stay at in Homer. The owner Donna was very friendly and genuine. She cares about her guests experience staying at her beautiful cabin. Waking up to the waves crashing and watching the ocean as the otters swim around.. it’s truly the Alaskan experience! Couldn’t rave more about this beautiful beach getaway!

Picture Perfect
Loved this cabin and location. Hostess, Donna, provided everything you could need for your stay. Spotlessly cleaned and everything as advertised in listing. This cabin, right on the waterfront, was perfect for long walks on the beach and for taking pictures of the ever-changing landscape right out side our windows. Conveniently located to all the Homer attractions, it was a nice quiet retreat after the day’s activities. This was our second stay at one of Donna’s properties. Excellent experiences both times.

Complete Comfort Amazing Views!
We decided last minute to change our plans and stay one night in Homer. I am so happy we did however I wished we had more time to enjoy this awesome beach house. It was so well appointed with anything we would possibly need. Everything is brand new and gorgeously decorated. Donna went over the top to make our night in Homer special for our Anniversary with a welcome basket. We loved walking along the beach when the tide was out and watching the bald eagles fly above. You are so close the spit that it is easy to pop over and enjoy Homer and its fun spirit. We would love to come back and next time maybe rent her other cabin and bring our children.

beautiful is a great description.
We stayed 2 days following 6 days of hotel stays. What a great break. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view. We had fun watching the tide come in and out. Seals were playful in the bay. We had a great dinner at captain paddies. Fishing for halibut was great. Did I mention view was great. Wow. We would have booked a longer stay but the place was booked up. We enjoyed watching the fishing for salmon in the small fishing area on the "spit". Watched a seal steal a salmon off the line of one unfortunate fisherman. Donna, Thanks for a great time at your place.

Perfect Elopement Home-Away-From-Home
My now-hubby and I chose to elope to Homer and get married on a glacier. Little did we know our view from this beautiful little cabin would be of the glacier we were to be married on. From the moment we drove up, we knew we had chosen the perfect place. The views (no matter the weather) are spectacular. If you enjoy bird-watching or beach-combing like we do, you will not be disappointed!! We especially loved seeing the Bald Eagles every day. We saw rainbows across the bay, sea lions on the rocks, star fish and octopus at low tide and collected some beautiful shells we don’t see on our East Coast beaches. We also had the unexpected chance to meet Donna and she is awesome!! Wish we lived closer and could call her a friend. We will definitely be back the next time we are able to visit Homer!! Also, if you get the chance, stop by the Salty Dawg Saloon on the spit….it’s a cozy little gem with a super friendly staff!!

You wont want to leave!
We couldn't have asked for a better place to experience what Homer had to offer. This cabin is everything you could hope for when you think of a cabin in Alaska. You are literally a stone’s throw away from the beach and have everything Homer has to offer at your fingertips. The cabin offers the chic yet rustic feel providing all of the modern convinces wrapped up with a natural wood finish. The views of the ocean, mountains and glaciers can be seen in every room except for the bathroom which, is OK because one you step into there you will think you have entered a spa. This cabin is the perfect place to go and unwind and you couldn't ask for anyone better to help you do that than Donna. Donna was the icing on the cake, making sure that we had everything that we need to make or stay the best it could be! Wildlife is abundant in this area too: eagles, seals, moose and porcupine all wander around this cabin. If you feel up for adventure you can rent a fat bike from in town and bring it back to the cabin. Once the tide is out walk it down to the beach and ride east it is a blast and put some adventure at your backdoor. If you are on the fence about if this is the right choice for you stop and just take the plunge you won’t regret it. Make you trip one you'll always remember and make this cabin your home away from home.

Great house, amazing hosts
Donna and her husband are what me and my husband coined the honorary mayors of Homer. Well connected owners of the Salty Dog Saloon :), were able to point us the great sights, knew folks around town that stopped on the beach to chat with them - and we ran into them a couple times - and when we arrived, they let us use their paddle-boards. (There are great vendors on the spit you can grab equipment from as well). A great first day in Alaska - I landed from Chicago and went paddleboarding in Kachemak Bay at sunset. When we left Homer for Seward, they sent us off with extra reindeer sausage they had! They are LITERALLY the nicest people we have met on any 8 of our trips to Alaska. The house is a studio style cabin with the bed facing the ocean, which was a great view! Bring your eye mask if you're traveling in the summer, but that's just common sense for Alaska. A plus: the bed is actually comfortable! Something that's not always a guarantee with home rentals. There's a great deck and grill we used, and stairs down to the beach where we used inflatable sofas and had a couple nice beach days when we weren't fishing or hiking. Half of our trip was in a dry cabin without electricity, so it was nice to be able to start our trip at a 'fancy' cabin. There were Alaska souvenirs and pamphlets waiting, a decked out kitchen (coffee was already there and ready to be made), etc. We're also very cognizant of COVID and felt that the cabin was cleaned especially well. Can't recommend it enough if you're visiting Homer. Take the water taxi out to the glacier hike, do some halibut fishing, spend a day souvenir shopping on the spit, and definitely reserve a day at the beach with snacks, wine, and some paddle-boarding.

Wedding weekend
We were very happy with our two night stay during a recent family wedding weekend. The place was well stocked, clean, comfortable, quite, the bed was high, large and cozy, and the deck over the water just outside was heaven, especially in the mornings. We enjoyed a few walks along the beach during low tide, and a quite, barbeque evening with a movie. I didn't want to leave, but it's always hard for me to leave Homer. :) Thank you very much for the memory Donna!
