"We had a great stay! Full kitchen with all amenities to cook. Loft area was a nice hangout for the kids. Very close to many sightseeing spots and fun. Only thing was the minimal resources for heat and it got pretty cold in the main area since it was only in the 20’s at night. "

"The River Retreat was just that - a retreat. We were way back in the woods on the bank of the Chattahoochee River. The cabin was cozy and very well appointed. I needed to call our host once bc I forgot something. She answered promptly and was gracious. My husband and I enjoyed breakfast out on the deck each morning. The trek to Helen was easy. The directions to the cabin were perfect and quite detailed. We had an amazing stay and will look to stay in this cabin again when we return to Helen. "

"Upon booking, it was my understanding that we would have access to fish. Fishing and Kayaking (even though they provided kayaks?) are only doable if you drive to a public access site. The exterior doors are in need of repair/replacement, one of the exterior doors had a piece of plexiglass in it??? Didn't me us feel very safe! The bathroom shower door (note said it was on order) came off the track and fell on one of the kids. I could have booked a cheaper cabin had I known we wouldn't be able to...

"The location is great and backyard view is wonderful. Has everything you need to have a nice escape for a few days. We didn’t catch any fish but not for lack of trying! The inside is charming and pretty vintage furniture but not the most comfortable couch and would’ve loved some tvs in guest rooms for the children, but overall we had a great stay and can’t beat for the price. Would love to return in the summer to tube/float down the river! Thanks for having us!"
