If you’re looking for the “cookie cutter” experience that you get at a chain hotel, steer clear. But if you’re looking for a quiet, restful place to relax and just enjoy being alive, you could do much worse. "

"Listing is accurate. Best parts: location, views, windows, and usable outside space. Open flame heaters were responsive and provided warmth. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. We were able to go to Cloudcroft to explore, but not stay at the higher altitude all the time.Downsides: bathroom was cramped, especially the shower; figuring out the heating for day and night. The wood stove looked great and plenty of wood was provided, so we were disappointed it wasn't cold enough and we were too tired to...

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is an older home but plenty of amenities. Beds are comfortable, loved having a washer and dryer. It was nice after a day of hiking to collapse in the recliners in the living room. Nice to have a dishwasher as we did cook meals. Loved morning coffee on the front porch rockers. We didn’t use it much but there is a nice enclosed back patio."
