"This hotel has a public bath with natural hot spring. And it also has a sauna room, too. They are comfortable, but some people feel too hot to take a bath.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, but sometimes stinkbugs may come to your room. The hotel is surrounded by nature such as forest, river, and grassland.
I hope you enjoy this hotel and its hot spring."

"Great hotel, convenient for travellers stopping at shin hokuto hakodate station for the night. Nice bath and local plaza, but remote area with shops and other services closing fairly early. "

"Aesthetically absolutely beautifully designed interior, however not so functional. We stayed over the new year so it was cold/dry weather so we wish they had humidifiers.
The beds are extremely comfortable unlike the beds at the major hotels so we were able to get rest well to recover from 13 hours flight.
Unfortunately unlike other guests, we didn't get response from the owner quickly. We got a response 3 days after we checked out which was not a big deal anyway. "

"Very impressed with the Onoma Tsuruga Resort. We stayed for two nights in November and loved the property. The room we had , with a private rotemburo was very nice. It was much larger than most rooms in Japan, had excellent facilities, and the private outdoor bath was the real winner.
We also enjoyed dining at the hotel. The French multi-course dinner was excellent and while not cheap (we paid 16,000 Yen per person), it was well worth it. Service, presentation, and cooking were all very impressive. There is also an excellent wine list, with good options by the glass or bottle.
The setting of the hotel is lovely, by the side of the marsh (konuma). It is very quiet and relaxing, surrounded by nature. The little resort town of onumakouen is nearby, with lots of little stores, cafes, and activities. This is a less well known spot in Hokkaido, compared with Niesko or Furano, but it's so beautiful. Having a car will really help out.
Anyway, the hotel is highly recommended. We enjoyed the very nice touches, like freely available wine in the bar in the afternoon and evening. It's not cheap, but we felt we got excellent value for money and look forward to staying at the other Tsuruga properties in Hokkaido. "
