Lovely 2 bed/2bath cottage in the midst of 250 private acres to enjoy. New pond in April of 2022. Whether it’s the privacy alone or the wish to experience nature to its fullest in all seasons , this tranquil setting will entice you to relax and forget about the pressures of life in these times. Located on a small creek that feeds into a designated wet land, nature abounds. Perfect for birders or an energetic hike, the graceful rolling hills of these Enchanted Mountains will refresh and inspire. Many maintained trails both in the open grasslands and the managed woods. Snowshoe or cross country ski in winter, partake of the native fruits including apples, blueberries, blackberries, rhubarb and more in summer. Just 6 miles from the city of Olean and all its various restaurants and shopping or St. Bonaventure University. Ellicottville with its excellent ski resorts and night life are just a scant 12 miles away A well stocked kitchen with all the amenities is a cooks delight. Enjoy the Weber grill or the fire pit in the back yard while you listen to the birds serenade. A special treat is the summertime fireflies by the thousands. They still thrill me after 34 years on the property! A large deck on the back of the house has an array of furniture to while away a peaceful couple of days or weeks. Leave the “ rat race” behind, you deserve it! New pond in adjacent field completed last year has greened up with mowed lawn and stocked with fish this April more coming the end of May. Come and enjoy!!

Absolutely wonderful!
Our stay was fabulous! The communication with David was awesome, the check in was incredibly simple, and the house was exactly as described! Great cottage on a beautiful country property
This was exactly what we were looking for: privacy and access to nature. Cottage was well maintained and comfortable. We cooked most of our meals right in the kitchen and had to spend some time indoors due to rain, and it was no issue at all. There's some great outdoor spaces including a short trail up the hill across the road. Host was responsive to communication and the check-in/check-out process was easy. We are looking forward to coming back some day.

You should book this place!
My family and I loved this home! It was one of the cleanest homes we have ever stayed in. It was well stocked with quality pots/pans, dishes, bowls, glasses, mugs, utensils, bath towels, and blankets. The home was also decorated so beautifully - from the rainbow checkered toss pillows to the paintings on the walls. It was also nice having a quality washer and dryer to use during our stay. The owner had many games which included jenga and also a kit to make paper airplanes which kept my boys busy! And although we didn't venture outside on the trails, the views were gorgeous. My boys also enjoyed walking over to the lake. We would highly recommend this place! It's just a short distance to Holiday Valley to ski and Tony's Napoli pizza and fish in Olean was excellent!!

Peaceful getaway in Hinsdale NY
David’s place was the perfect peaceful getaway for my wife and I. His place had the best kitchen and cookware to make great meals. The fire place was delightful after a day of hiking on his property and nearby. My wife went skiing at holiday valley one day because of the close drive from David’s place. It was the perfect place to unplug. Although it was a rainy weekend we still got to enjoy some of the property with our pups. The city of Olean was super cute. We look forward to going back to check more of it out. Cabin description was exactly as described. Highly recommend.

A quiet location, out of the way but near a small city with shops and restaurants. The views and trails are spectacular. Everything one would need is in the cottage. If you are seeking real peace, this is the place for you!

Our stay in early November was just what we needed. Warm and inviting cottage with all the amenities you could ask for. It felt like home as soon as we walked in the door. The view of the hill and ridge from the cottage was amazing and the view during our hike only got better. The fire place, extra blankets, comfy furniture all made for a unbelievably relaxing and cozy stay. We ventured both to Olean, an easy 15 minute drive, and to Ellicottville, about 25 minutes away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Most importantly, our communication with David was fantastic. He was a pleasure to talk with and quick to reply to all of our questions. Next time we'll bring our snow shoes!

We feel so lucky to have found this beautiful property. We loved the accommodations- spotless, beautifully decorated with glorious views of the surrounding enchanted mountains complete with hiking trails. Just a few minutes from the center of Olean and the host David was so responsive and helpful during the booking process. This property lives up to the reviews. It is truly a lovely place to spend a relaxing vacation. It was perfect for husband, teenaged son and I. The home is pristine and stocked with everything you need. Deck, grill, firepit, hiking trail, pond, games, puzzles, wifi...everything is right there to unwind and relax. We all hiked the trails for a beautiful view,,,spotted lots of deer and also saw a big family of wild turkeys! Also there is horseback riding nearby and pickleball every morning at the local Y :-) It was a great week and David is a thoughtful and communicative host!
