It was a lovely little cabin... That sat right on top of the main entrance to the homeowners' residence, to the extent that the homeowner had to walk onto the front porch of the cabin to get to their vehicles. I believe the cabin had, at one time, been a carriage house or garage for the home. It's a great conversion, to be sure, but absolutely no privacy was availed... which is what I desired most. The listing stated "shares the property with the homeowner", but that leaves out key details regarding proximity. Sitting on the porch of the cabin, one has a commanding view into the kitchen, and vice versa. Other factors, such as parking limitations to one car and the necessity to limit conversation and music after 8pm, were only included with final check in information sent the week of the rental. I was looking for an escape from interactions with the world while grieving a personal loss, and this was not what I needed. I left before the first day was over even though I had rented the cabin for four days. I no longer trust the listing information on VRBO and will pursue other options in the future.
