Less than 30 minutes from the lake you have; the Catskill Distilling Company, Kartrite Indoor Water Park, Horseback riding at Rolling Stone Ranch, the Resort World Catskill Casino, and the Monticello Raceway & Casino. Within 10 minutes you have river rafting through Kittatinny Canoes and Indian Head Canoes. Just 20 minutes to Port Jervis with access to Metro North trains and fine dining. 25 minutes to Milford, PA and Monticello, NY, and Pecks supermarket is just a 2 minute drive down the road. Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets and Mountain Creek Ski Resort & Water Park are just over an hour. Camelback Ski Resort is just an 80 minute drive, and Windham, Hunter or Bellare are all less than 2 hours away. Big Bear Ski Resort is less than 30 minutes.
20 minutes away is Bethel Woods, the home to the original Woodstock. It's has great concerts, events, and the Woodstock Museum. Across the street is the Catskills Distillery, and White lake isn't far where you can find great restaurants on the water.
25 minutes away is Narrowsburg, a very charming historic town perched high on the cliffs overlooking the Delaware River. It has adorable antique and trendy shops, art galleries, and delicious alfresco dining along the banks of the river. The Heron and Gerard's are both great. Nearby you can find Skinner’s Falls, where you can swim, canoe, go inner tubing, or just sun on the rocks.
This charming home is nestled on 22 acres of land, which includes a shared beach and dock equipped with floating picnic tables, providing direct access to the lake. The beach is about a 5 minute walk around the corner or a short hike through the woods, and less than a minute drive away. For aquatic adventures, guests can make use of a row boat for fishing, a one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, two kids' kayaks, two canoes, and two paddle boards, all of which are included with the rental.
Nature enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the stunning lakefront environment and explore the vast surroundings. They can traverse the shared bridge and meander through the boulder gardens, taking in breathtaking views of the grassy fields inhabited by deer and the serene waters. A shared creek runs through the heart of the property, providing opportunities for tubing, hiking to peaceful spots for meditation, or simply enjoying the calming sounds of the flowing water.
It's important to note that the beach, creek, and hiking trails are exclusively shared by guests staying at the Highland Lake Estate. While there are two other properties on the Estate that may potentially share the 22 acres during one's stay, most of the time, guests will have these amenities all to themselves. If anyone desires more privacy or requires additional clarifications, they can contact the management for further details.

The louvered pergola with string lights offers a versatile outdoor experience day or night, combining the benefits of a traditional open-roof pergola with those of a closed-roof gazebo. With four rows of individually controlled louvered roofs, you can enjoy up to 240 square feet of shade, and protection from the rain, while still being able to bask in the sun or gaze at the stars. There are also removable privacy curtains and nets to keep mosquitoes away and provide privacy. Adjacent to the pergola, you will find the propane powered outdoor grill, along with a wood burning Solo fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs for the perfect night of flame gazing.
The expansive kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, large refrigerator, and abundant wood cabinetry stocked with all the kitchen appliances and amenities you may need. You'll have access to everything from pots, pans and utensils to oils, spices, coffee and tea. A large peninsula and center island provide wonderful space for meal prep, casual dining and conversation in the space where everyone tends to gather. The dining table offers seating for 6, with an additional leaf to fit two more, and with windows on both sides, light fills the room throughout the day.
Sleeping areas include a primary queen bedroom with a large closet and desk for a quiet work space at the end of the hall. There are two more queen bedrooms that are connected by a Jack-and-Jill half-bathroom. In the hallway, the well-appointed full bathroom offers a large tub/shower, a roomy vanity and plenty of storage space to tuck away everyone's toiletries. You will also find a full sized washer and dryer for cleaning your towels and clothes.
The sun filled living room is cozy and bright with plenty of seating for all, as well as an additional sleep area when using the queen+ pullout couch. There is an electric fireplace, tons of greenery, and games to entertain all ages. The cottage is furnished with the fastest Wi-Fi available. The best way to get here is by car. 2 minutes from the house you'll find Peck's Market for all your grocery essentials. If you have a mountain bike with you, you can use it throughout the 22 acre property. There's also tons of awesome bike and hike paths near by that can easily be found on the app, AllTrails. Road bikes are also amazing to have so you can ride over to Hawks Nest to watch the Eagles, or just go for a quiet ride around the lake. If you prefer public transportation, you are just 20 minutes to Port Jervis with access to Metro North
Personal chef services, yoga class instruction, massage therapy, and access to the pontoon boat can also be arranged for additional fees.
