"This was such a great weekend getaway! Such a cozy place! Honestly, I didn’t want to leave the room, and I was able to get some much needed rest and relaxation. The memory foam bed is seriously one of the most comfortable beds ever! I haven’t slept that good in years. Also, the tv in the bedroom is huge which is a nice touch. The brewery in the building is super cute, and very convenient for beer enthusiasts. I would highly recommend this property! "

Street lights from the church across the street shined very brightly in the bedroom window so some room darkening curtains would be helpful. "This is an unusual property. It is a reused building which is good but it is designed and updated very nicely. My unit would only fit 2 people at the most. It had a luxury dorm feel to it. It is secure and there are no stairs to climb. The location is great to quickly get almost anywhere in the Roanoke area. My host was very attentive and quickly answered any questions I had"

The staircase is a little daunting for anyone with a fear of heights, but we didn't mind. Off street parking was a DREAM in this area. Will definitely return for future family trips!"

"Rented Blackwater for my 40th birthday celebration. I couldn't imagine a better place if I tried. The home is beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. The arcade was beyond my dreams! The decorations for Halloween made it even better. We're already planning a return in the summer. Communication with the host was fast and reliable, and they added some personal touches for my birthday that were very sweet and definitely appreciated. The kitchen also had everything we needed!
