Host is very friendly, even got a visit from the neighboring cattle strolling through their pasture area. Would certainly search this place out next time I’m here fishing on the river! "

"Trout Lake has been an annual summer trip for us for the last 7 years and this house is our favorite rental by far. The cottage is cozy, but well appointed. We love the extensive waterfront in this beautiful cove and spend most of our time on the pontoon, in kayaks, hanging out on the dock or in the game room, and playing in the beautifully clear water. "Screened in porch takes you to the river edge and watching the big ships on the St. Lawrence was a new experience. (There's even an app to track them.) Open floor plan with lots of room. Country cozy with the comforts of home. Hope to return and stay longer next time. Charming host!"

"great location, just off the channel so you can watch the ships, convenient with Marina and gas across the channel from the house. Island is quiet, with the house location being private, barely noticed the neighbors. Hosts were very kind, didn’t have any issues but still checked in. Plenty of room, the downstairs worked out well for the kids to take over. Overall, a wonderful house and relaxing vacation. "

"The house was very clean, and had everything you would need! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the whole house was very cozy. The front of the house has big windows looking out over the River; it was a beautiful view and such a sweet little spot to spend a few days. There is a very nice hiking trail less than 1/2 mile away. We reached out to the owner about a concern and she was very communicative and helpful! A great stay; would highly recommend."

"Lovely house on the water. We stayed a couple nights while visiting our son at St Lawrence University and it was just a quick drive. Great place for a family to stay and relax. You can tell that the home is well loved by the owners as well. It almost makes you feel like you are staying with family. I would definitely recommend! (And the owner and property manager were super responsive. We were coming in very late so they made sure to keep a couple lights on.) "
