Welcome to our new, unique, and tranquil cozy lake house retreat. This property is located close to town, the lake, and right down the street to the public boat launch. The place is perfect for 2 couples or a small gathering. A great home base central to everything Big Wally has to offer. Rent a boat, go swimming, Kayak, Hiking, bar hopping and more all within 10 minutes of the property!

The house is a recently updated cottage with modern amenities. This 2 bed/1 bath property offers a perfect home base during all of your adventures around Wallenpaupack. One bedrooms has a queen bed while the 2nd bedroom offers a full. There is an optional queen air mattress as well to use in the common area. Both contain a closet. The kitchen is updated with modern amenities and has everything stocked so you can cook in and eat on the big porch if you would like. The is seating for 2 at the pop out pub table if it is a smaller group staying, but if a larger there is seating for up to 6 at the patio table. The house has AC provided by a stand up unit and baseboard heat. In the backyard there is a chimenea for you to enjoy roasting marshmallows under the lights. On the deck is a 6-person table to enjoy a nice outdoor dinner.

There is no lake access with the property. If you want to swim in the lake you must use the public beach 5 minutes away (MDW - LDW). For launching boats/Kayaks you can use the public Launch (1.5 miles away), or Walt’s Landing Marina(.5 Miles away). If available Walt's sometimes has rental slips (Call ahead).

As an avid renter myself I know the importance of privacy, yet knowing the owner is available at a moments notice if any issues were to arise. Because of this, transparency is key for our guests to have the absolute best experience possible. Our goal is to have a 5 start stay with each booking. With each booking there will be contactless access to the property with a digital keycode. A digital guidebook will be provided prior to the stay as well as a paper copy of the same guidebook on the coffee table. Everything will be explained in this guidebook for an easy yet rewarding experience for the guests. Should anything else arise I will be available through messaging and will be able to provide responses promptly. We take great pride in making the stay as easy as possible, and have done our best to make the property as user friendly and accommodating as possible.

The Lake House is about a 2 hour drive from NYC, and a 2 and a half hour drive from Philly. Standard phone mapping apps are all effective to route your path to the Lake House. Don't hesitate to contact us for more specific directions, if needed. While in Hawley, a car is necessary to get around. There are Ubers and Lyfts available, but they are unreliable. There are a few attractions and restaurants that are walking distance from the property, but to experience most of what Hawley has to offer, you will need a vehicle.

If you are looking for baby gear suh as pack-n-plays, high chairs, ect. We have a partnership with a local supplier that can deliver and even set them up at the property for you to use during your stay. Just let us know.

Firewood is not provided complementary but it is available on the property for a fee (Cash & Electronic Payments Accepted)

Reflections on the Lake Experience
House inside is in good condition. Very close to nice municipal marina with nice park for a picnic. No dishwasher in the home. Neighborhood is below average. Roads are in very bad condition and there is no street sign to locate the property.

Perfect Stay For a Couple + Dog Friendly
My husband and our dog stayed in this home for about a week and had a fantastic experience. I was extremely impressed with how clean and new the inside of the home was. Beds were very comfy, plenty of towels available, and a full kitchen with everything needed to make meals at home. They even had a set of dog food/water bowls which was super nice! The location was ideal for driving to the public beach, local hiking trails (Shuman's Point was our favorite), and many options for breweries and restaurants. Matt was extremely quick to respond and was available for any questions we had during our stay. Overall a very positive experience at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back!

Close to all the action in Lake Walenpaupack and Hawley
Property was nicely done and cozy. Being a newer property the manager was extremely responsive to any small issues we had and they were immediately remedied. It was very conveniently located to many restaurants and local activities
