"What an unexpected treat! Out in the middle of nowhere (but close to a town) and such a beautiful setting. Great place if you are traveling with kids - lots of room (and goal posts) for soccer, a swing, huge chess board."

"Sehr freundliches Personal beim Empfang. Auch alles sehr Fam. im Hotel. Etwas schwer in dunkeln zu finden. Frühstück sehr entspannt und Abendessen ohne Aufsicht. Getränke /Essen kann man sich alles alleine holen. Essen wird immer wieder nachgefüllt. Zimmer im modernen Zustand. TT/ Billard /Darth könnte man Spielen und Sauna kann man kostenlos mit Voranmeldung benutzen. "

"One could tell that in its heyday, this was a very busy place. But still holding on and very nice. Nothing fancy, but everything was clean and well maintained. The food was fantastic-one of the best meals I've ever had. "

"Really great spa and pool, room, and food. Some important details: no spa admission after 8 pm, it reopens at 10 in the morning. Restaurant kitchen closes after 8 pm too, but they still serve drinks and charcuterie. Some staff spoke English and it was helpful because the receptionist did not. Also the credit card machine at the reception wouldn't process Hotels.com charges in dollars (but the restaurant's card reader can do it)"

"Schön gelegenes Hotel an der Bode. Parkmöglichkeiten und Hotel durch eine Brücke getrennt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend."

"Although we spoke extremely basic German and the hotel staff had only simple English, this actually mattered little as everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make us very welcome. "This hotel is located on the edge of the forest and we were awakened every morning by the delightful sound of songbirds. The room had a balcony which was a nice place to relax.. The restaurant is good and the breakfast buffet offered an assortment of cheeses, meats and breads. "Als überdurchschnittlich gut muss man das leckere und abwechslungsreiche Frühstück nennen. Das entspricht locker einem 4 Sterne Hotel. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und entsprechend der Kategorie ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus jedem empfehlen. "

"The hotel lighting is very limited, really uncomfortable to stay. Breakfast is not delicious for room rate that I paid. The pillow look like not really pillow for sleep. I don’t want to come back to this hotel. "

"Good hotel with amazingly clean rooms. Room was big and recently renovated, lots of space and nice touches like tea and coffee in the room. Big windows let in loads of natural light, and opening windows allowed fresh air which was nice. The location allows for easy access and parking, and then it's a very short walk to the centre of the historic town. Friendly team and good breakfast. As some other people commented, no, they don't speak English - but it turns out the hotel is in Germany, so don't expect it and you'll be fine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and a smile, a few signs and a bit of patience got me checked in very quickly. Great value, would definitely stay again. "
