"We had 5 people and 7 dogs staying here and it all worked out great. Plenty of space for the dogs to run and for everyone to sleep comfortably. Iron Mountain is only 15 mins away and the Randville Bar (5mins away) has an amazing Friday Fish Fry. We explored all over the area and educated birds near and far. The little stream holds brook trout when in season. The Northern Lights were amazing to witness on multiple days while we stayed there. Todd was a great host and showed us around the property. There is no wifi or laundry machines so be prepared. Cell signal is lacking as well. The tv is satellite so bad weather can influence that signal. We saw plenty of wildlife while exploring the area from eagles to piebald deer. All in all we would 100% come back. "

"This is a Hunter's cabin. Nothing real fancy. Bathroom is not in the same cottage, it's in another cottage across the driveway. The host is very nice. This cottage is in a very peaceful location. "

"The communication and checkin process was flawless. The property was excellent. We had a group of 10 guys and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. Amenities were well laid out. Sitting around the fire pit, looking at the stars was perfect. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at DD Lodge. My family, ages ranging from 94 years to three years, and I booked this property for a family vacation and it was perfect! The Lodge is amazing, very spacious and beautiful! The property is very clean and very well maintained, with all the amenities we were looking for and more. We enjoyed our morning coffee and stargazing in the four-season room, grilling, and nighttime campfires roasting s’mores with the kids. The location of the lodge made it an easy drive to must see attractions and the Wells Township Park for a childhood/friends reunion. Our host Nancy was very nice, responsive and promptly communicated with us, making it a smooth process before, during and after our stay. Very much appreciated the “welcome information”that was sent about DD Lodge, directions, things to do, etc. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend DD Lodge when visiting the U.P. "

"When they advertise as secluded, they really mean it! A mile off the road, this property is both gorgeous and refreshing! Well maintained, clean, and within driving distance of some amazing things! Ecco Hill is worth the backroad drive to kayak or fish. Iron Mountain and Crystal Falls are nearby if you need to see other people again. Bring lots of bug spray if you are staying in the summer and your hiking boots! We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay here again!"
