A little disappointed
We were two couples all over 60. The house was roomy and did have the great view. The appliances were very nice. This could be a great rental if it received more attention. We were disappointed in the air conditioning. Where I'm from if you advertise that you have A/C we think central air. The few one room A/C units just weren't enough to cool the house. And we assumed that they hadn't been turned on for very long when we arrived. So the house was a hot 86 degrees. Need something to treat the water system and clean the bathtubs. The master was in really bad shape. Husband scrubbed with CLR to get it as clean as he could so that we could shower. Needed to buy store bought water to make coffee and cook with because the smell was just atrocious. Like I say it has some perks and good qualities just needs more attention! Staying here in cooler months would be better when you don't need A/C.

Exceptionally clean, great view
We really enjoyed our stay. As mentioned, the place is exceptionally clean, very comfortable. The air conditioning is not central air, and there were two portable air units, one in the main living space and the other in one of the three bedrooms. As such, we requested a fan and management not only brought a fan but put on a window air conditioner in one of the other bedrooms! Great service!

Not the best experience
This place has a lot of potential, looks nice and cute in pictures, but lacks a good cleaning and proper care! I guess from the time the last person posted, they did not fix the bug problem ( and it was already too late to cancel the reservation)! There were spiders, ants, little flies and gnats inside—sealing the windows with tissue papers between the gaps and using duct tape and cardboard boxes for the window panels of the air conditioning units do not help!!! Found two orange oil stains on one of the bedsheet — hoped they were pizza stains and not blood or anything, large area of orange rust in the master bathtub from the nonstop dripping water(yes smell of sulfur), master bathroom exhaust fan not working, stinging insects inside the wooden patio, cobwebs and overgrown plants on the patio— have to avoid getting hit by the bush walking in and out of the house every single time.. sounds like minor issue to some but for the price of the rental, I had expected better living situations… The view was nice. Oh and the toilet seat still moves.. why didn’t they fix something so simple?! Overall, disappointed in this place and was glad we only stayed two nights.

Despite positve reviews we read ahead of time, our experience was quite disappointing. I was told the property had central ac, but there were two window units which did not cool 2 of the 3 bedrooms. One window unit had a large gap which allowed a massive bug infestation. During the stay, the master bath shower faucet didn't work, and it was unable to be repaired during our visit, leaving 5 people with one shower. Moreover, toilet seats were extremely loose and improperly installed. The master bathroom exhaust fan did not work, which left us unable to vent the sulfur smell from the untreated well water. The dryer vent seems to not vent outside, as the laundry room was streamy and muggy. Added to the inadequacy of the ac, the dryer heat made the house unbearable when used. The internet worked intermittently. We found mouse droppings in the cabinets and a dead mouse in the laundry room. In general, the property needs maintenance attention. I would not recommend staying here until these problems are fixed. On the positive side: the location is ideal, the firepit was lovely. Views are spectacular.

Get away with out of town relatives
Would have appreciated screens for windows as it was quite warm. Realize this is a personal preference, but beds too soft. Reflectors at mouth of driveway would be nice. Did not locate trash can, so left trash in garage.

Friends Annual Trip to Finger Lakes
This was a last minute booking as our previous booking double booked and we had to find a place in four days. Overall, the house was good. Unfortunately for us, the furnace was not working so the property manager brought in space heaters so we would have heat. Obviously, not the owners fault. The amenities on the property listed soaps, shampoo, hair dryer, but unfortunately there were none of these provided. We did take our own so you might consider that. There was no toaster and the coffee pot was old. It worked, but you might want to upgrade to a Keurig. There were very limited spices, no salt and pepper, sugar packets, etc. Since we were only there three nights, we did not cook at the house but there seemed to be limited pots or pans to cook with.
