"Pre-arranged closer to buffet table sitting location (one of my older family member need walking assistant) was not given util I refuse to accept, they finally provided a table closer to the food area with an attitude! Otherwise, the this hotel is great especially with both in-room and public Onsen. They also treat every hotel guest with unlimited ice cream from their in house vending machine. "

"Amazing stay at Hanaori! We stayed at the Deluxe Room with private open-air bath. Staff were wonderful, there's welcome-drink at the reception. The view was amazing; you can see the lake from the lobby & dining area. There's foot-onsen also overlooking the lake. Dining is all buffet, but it's the same every night / every morning. "It’s a spa resort with a shuttle to/from the station and the doorway. Great staff & services. Gorgeous views and an amazing breakfast buffet and top notch restaurant for other meals. The onsen was public and worth going. You’re there to relax unwind and enjoy the views and surroundings. Well that ticked every box. Lovely!!"

"Incredible hospitality and ryokan experience. Very traditional and a wonderful way to experience and appreciate Japan and Japanese culture (11th time here and have done ryokan before). Extensive kaiseki and some dishes you would never find on a restaurant menu. Place is extremely clean albeit showing a bit wear - and - tear with facilities. Do book private onsen outside. 10/10"
