Relax under the moss covered oaks or on your own screened front porch and enjoy the majestic views mother nature offers on Historic Mobile Bay. Meme's (mee-mees) split floor plan has two bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, laundry, and dining room with an extra large table. The living room stretches across the whole front of the house so you always have a view of the bay and our covered dock. The master has a king bed and the guest bedroom two twins. The living room has a sleeper sofa that accommodates another two people.

Enjoy the two screened porches and views of both the bay and Shell Banks Bayou. The large back patio is the perfect place to grill out. The yard is fully fenced on the street side so children and dogs will have a safe place to play. Pet friendly for up to two dogs.

Our covered dock is a favorite place to sit and watch the pelicans, seagulls and dolphins play or throw a line and catch some fish for dinner. Catch the most awesome sunsets, have a glass of wine and enjoy beautiful evenings looking out on the water.

Explore the Wildlife Sanctuary or take a walk along the sandy white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. This lovely modern cottage is located just minutes from the beach access at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve's white sandy beaches and Gulf Shores center in only a 10 minute drive to the East.

Golfer's Paradise: Who could ask for more than a beach house and top of the line golf courses! The Peninsula Golf Club is located just four miles East. It features 18 holes, a pro shop, and restaurant. If you want to change things up a bit try the 36 holes of Pure Palmer Golf at Craft Farms, Cotton Creek, and Cypress Bend just an 15 minute drive away. Want more? Play Kiva Dunes or the Golf Club of the Wharf; both are just five miles away.

Outlet Shopping: Ten miles north of Gulf Shores in Foley, Alabama the Tanger Outlet Center features 120 name brand shopping options for the bargain hunter. Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, SAS, Gap,Anne Klein, and more.

Enjoy the City's recreation and special events: The City of Gulf Shores has a fantastic recreation center with daily, weekly, or monthly rates. It features an indoor temperature controlled swimming pool, basketball courts, fitness room, indoor track, ping pong and pool tables, water aerobics, yoga and other fitness classes.

The cottage had plenty of space for our group of 4 adults. The spot on the bay was quiet and was just 6 minutes away from the beach on Mobile St. About 15 minutes from the restaraunts on the outskirts of Gulf Shores. Would definitely recommend this place!

Hidden heaven.
This place reminded me of when I was growing up in a secluded part of Florida when I was a kid in the 70's. It brought back such great memories. I would love to stay here again in the future. Also, my fur babies absolutely loved it.

Wonderful home on the water
This house was beautiful and as described (actually the pictures don't do it justice!). We loved the view from the porch and the deck. It was quiet and peaceful yet close enough to downtown Gulf Shores. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and even saw dolphins. 10/10, would definitely recommend!!

Memories At Memes Bay
This was our second stay at this property, third with Martha as the property manager. We love the house, it is more than comfortable and it has great views of the bay and both sunrises and sunsets. Much more comfortable than the coast side and it is in such a relaxing setting with lots of outside areas to enjoy. Five stars all around.

Serenity NOW!
Meme’s Cottage is tastefully decorated with all of the amenities we needed. Martha was responsive to needs. She informed us of a problem with the freezer when we contacted her for our check-in. She made every effort to complete repairs during our stay. After 2 repair trips, with the problem unresolved, she delivered large cooler of ice. We would return to Meme’s in a heartbeat if back in the Gulf Shores area.

Paradise on Mobile Bay
This property is as advertised. Actually, there was a major improvement in the primary bath from the time we booked in August of 2023 until we stayed at the house in March of 2024. A shower was added to the bathroom which was a wonderful addition. All of the main living areas look out over the bay. There are 2 screened porches which were so useful as well. My husband and I stayed here and were so glad we were not in Gulf Shores proper. This was much more appropriate to our laid-back style and it was very quiet. Martha, the host, was so responsive to our needs which was very much appreciated. This is definitely a winner! I would highly recommend this house and location.

LOVE the back porch!! Just sit rock and enjoy the view! My husband said not the best spot to fish because of the covered dock but if you don’t want to fish it’s GREAT!! The beach only a mile away!! If you need to get away and chill….this is the place!

Second Visit and Will Book Again
My family thoroughly enjoys our stay at the house. The backyard is great and the sunsets on the bay are amazing. Huge fan of the outdoor patio and dock. The kitchen and dining area has plenty of space and opens to the living area. Beds are comfortable and linens are great. Highly recommend for those looking to enjoy the beach during the day and want to get away from the crowds afterwards. Perfect beach bay escape giving you the best of both worlds!

Adorable little cottage on the Bay
The property was exactly as described and even better in person! The addition of having a beautiful shaded yard was ideal with older adults and young children! Adorable cottage
The house is adorable, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. I wish my kitchen at home was this large. The view couldn’t be better. Old world charm with live oaks, Spanish moss, beautiful green grass, and even a sandy beach! Will be back.
