"Fantastic to host our guests in a pre-1776 house. That alone was a great experience. Add right in the Guilford Green, a great host in Tracy, comfortable beds and lots of touches. We highly recommend and it will be our go-to for our house guests that can’t fit in our house. "

"The house really sits on its beach with a rock surrounded natural pool at high tide. The weather was CRAZY with rain and wind. The house held the temperature and was comfortable as the temps dropped below freezing! FYI the 4th bedroom with the trundle bed hasn’t a door so hence not a lot of privacy. But we were all good friends;) it was a comfortable space for 5 women who were good friends"

"Our family of five stayed here for four months. I have only wonderful things to say about this house, the town of Guilford, and our hosts, Starlet and James. The house is a mid-century retreat set in a beautiful forest. We saw deer, squirrels, and chipmunks, and enjoyed the sounds of owls and coyotes (in the distance) at night. The kitchen and main bathroom are brand new and gorgeous! The kids loved the large soaking tub, and we loved cooking meals in the perfectly appointed kitchen. It had everything we needed and then some. The three bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of storage. There is a spacious office and a great sunroom - we used it as a workout room. The heating and AC are new and comfortable. The hot water is endless! Again, we can only say good things! In our time in Guilford, we became friendly with the neighbors, enjoyed gorgeous walks around the shoreline (Chaffinch Island Park is a quick stroll away, as well as Barbara Pine beach.) Guilford is the cutest New England town with friendly residents, great shops and restaurants, and easy access to the 95. My husband commuted into Yale on the train which was very convenient and quick. (It’s also a quick 22-ish minute drive.) During our stay, Starlet and James were perfect hosts: very responsive to all messages, thoughtful in letting us know when to expect yard work or maintenance. The heater stopped working once and a repairman was there within a few hours to replace the filter. I recommend this house 100%!"

"Two words perfectly describe this property. Charm and Character seasoned with history. It is a comfortable place to be, and you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. The 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms was just what our group of 7 needed. Be sure to look at the painted door in one of the 1st floor bedrooms. The kitchen has all you need to make a feast. On Christmas day we cooked a 15lb stuffed turkey with 4 side dishes, gravy, and an apple crumble. We could've done a pie but nobody wanted to make a crust. There was 9 of us for dinner. We used the kitchen table as a buffet line, took the chairs into the living room, and ate dinner in front of the working fireplace. Kinda perfect. The house is very close to the town center. Just a short walk to the green and wonderful shops. Get a sandwhich from the market, you won’t be disappointed. The owner Yvette is pleasant and quick to respond to your messages. I know this sounds like your typical be nice review. But you can feel and see the love, care, and attention that she has put into this place. There is thought and soul here.
