Welcome to Aurora House! Named after the Northern Lights, the house is stunningly appointed with beautiful lighting creating the perfect soothing sanctuary after an action packed day in the mountains.

Aurora House is one of the newest homes on the mountain, featuring the latest in mountain modern design and architecture. Wall-to-wall windows means the house is filled with natural light and gorgeous views of Columbia River Valley and Kicking Horse can be enjoyed from all parts of the house.

With 4000 square feet of living space spread over three floors, the house comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests (maximum 13 adults). The main floor has a living room, chef’s kitchen, huge deck, dining room, garage, laundry room and powder room. The kitchen features state of the art appliances including a Viking fridge, 6 burner Bertazzoni stove and Bosch dishwasher. From the dining room, access the deck that spans the width of the home where there is a grill and patio furniture.

The lower floor has 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, media room, gas fireplace, wet bar and wine fridge and access to private 6 person hot tub. The two bedrooms each have queen beds and large closets. The media room features a giant projector screen with accent theatre lighting and surround sound. There are two large sofas that convert to double beds.

The upper floor has 3 bedrooms, small office nook, 2 bathrooms and a sitting room. The master bedroom suite is luxurious with a king bed looking out to the mountain through wall to wall windows, private deck, a giant walk-in closet, ensuite 4 piece bathroom. The second bedroom features a queen bed with large closet. The third bedroom features a bunk bed with two single bunks, large closet and a Juliet balcony. The bathroom is just off the entrance to the two bedrooms. The sitting area features a 48 inch flat screen TV and sofa that converts into a comfortable double bed.

The garage has racks for skis and snowboards and a boot dryer to ensure your boots, gloves and hats are ready to go for the next day.

Aurora House is conveniently located on Columbia Valley View Drive which means all amenities are a short walk/ski/ride away. The home is ski-in and the base area is easily accessed via an 180m walk to the ski trail. A “secret” trail at the back of the house allows guests to hightail it to Kicking Horse’s best spa or enjoy a top-notch dinner at Corks.

Awesome place for a family getaway
My family stayed here for a wedding in Lake Louise, about an hour away. Plenty of room, and plenty of things to see and do in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. Loved sitting out on the back deck, high up in the trees! Very comfortable beds and plenty of room for all of us.

Great vacation house
Our group of 13 had an amazing stay! The location was quick to the ski hill. The house was stocked with all kitchen necessities. Linens were fresh and comfortable. The layout of the house worked great as the “teens” took over the basement. Would recommend this location 100%!

Clean, organized and responsive management.
The place was a wonderful treat. We were fortunate enough to get a lot of snow. The management did a great job ensuring that we could all get out of the drive way safely. He got a snow removal company to come right away when we got stuck. It’s a lovely vacation rental and very modern.

Awsome house to stay at for a large group. Very clean and comfortable!
We had a family wedding that we were attending and we were looking for a big place to fit our needs. The pictures of the house looked great and the size fit our needs for 12 adults. When we arrived the place was very clean and beautiful inside with a lot of room for everyone to relax and take in the view. Everyone said that the beds were very comfortable and had no issues sleeping. When we come back to Golden, we will be looking at renting this place again and I will be recommending this location to other people.

Lovely Mountain Side Retreat
The home is very spacious and well maintained. The owner has thought through many details and has abundantly equipped the house. All of the beds and furniture were comfortable and clean. The media room and smart functions throughout the house were impressive and easy to use, even for the older generations in our group. The owner was always responsive to our pre-stay communications. we had zero issues during our stay. It's a very lovely home. We would definitely stay in the home again.

Beautiful, modern home with all of the amenities of home
Our two families - 4 adults and 4 children -- had a wonderful stay at Aurora house. The house was immaculate, comfortable and well stocked. We've rented several houses, and this house was the most comfortable and easiest to work with. The beds were almost as good as home; the kitchen was high end and had everything we needed; the patio offered a welcome respite; and the bathrooms were luxurious. The owners stock the house with nice towels, good laundry detergent, and tons of condiments. The manager was very responsive and helped us out with any questions we had. Overall it was simply lovely.

One of the Best Places I've Stayed At
Kicking Horse is no modern cabin. Equipped with a generous amount of amenities, your friends and family will never lack entertainment! It was as if I was staying inside a futuristic house, given the technology and compatibility this place has to offer. On top of that, Gabe was a wonderful host, and provided detailed instructions from beginning to end. He made the overall process easier for us and my group and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and WILL be coming back :)

Love the stylish and spacious property.
We have a big group and this house is not only beautiful inside out, it can accommodate all of us, plenty of rooms. Especially chef kitchen, we had so much fun cooking together ( 1 chef and 6 assistants), fully equipped 5 stars kitchen 👍🏻 There's hot tub outside but we didn't have time to use it, look new. Overall, house is new and stylish as posted, host Gabriel is very nice and informative. We ll definitely come back. Gabriel, thanks so much for sharing your property. Vivian group

Outstanding location and ammenities.
We have stayed at this beautiful and very comfortable property during both winter and summer. It is completely and generously equipped with everything needed from niceties like the large capacity coffee machine to high end washer and dryer, hot tub, entertainment room and spacious kitchen / dining / socializing area. In winter the location is ideal for access to the ski hill and the Nordic trails. We reached the former by walking out the front door a short ways and putting on skis then skiing down to the gondola. We reached the latter by skiing groomed trails over to the Nordic ski lodge. In summer, less than a kilometer on the road gets one to the start of Scalli-Mag a new mountain bike trail starting at the base of the ski hill and accessing all of the Moonraker trails. This area offers kilometer after kilometer of scenic and enjoyable single-track riding. This property comes highly recommended, especially for larger gatherings of 8-10 people.

Mountain gem
This past January I was fortunate enough to have been able to spend two nights in this modern gem of a house on the slopes of Kicking Horse and was wholly enchanted by both mountain and home. The high ceilings of this property create an open and inviting atmosphere whilst the large windows allow you to enjoy the alpine views from various points throughout the house. My favourite area was undoubtedly the well-appointed kitchen and spacious eating area where evening meals were prepared with gusto, wine and cheese were sipped and savoured, cards were played well into the evening, and everyone seemed to feel at home. I was pleasantly surprised by the heated floors that made walking barefoot a sheer pleasure and the Sonos sound system that made listening to my favourite tunes a breeze. I also really enjoyed skiing right to the front door after a great day on the slopes and taking a dip in the hot tub before dinner was relaxing. It is truly a lovely place in a lovely setting and I am already looking forward to visiting once again next year!

this was the perfect place for our friends to stay for a wedding at Eagles Nest. It was close to the gondola and had all the amenities of home. The kitchen was fantastic, the hot tub was relaxing and the surroundings were beautiful. We will be back!

Fantastic experience
Nothing but praise for this property, property manager and owners! gorgeous home that is very well taken care of, instruction binder that is a little intimidating but has everything you need to know (except maybe the route to the ski in) and very responsive manager. We were three families with teenagers and this property was top drawer! Great memories were made.

Perfect Kicking Horse ski vacation!
Beautiful, clean, modern, CONVENIENT! Pretty much ski in/ ski out. Great views of the mountain. HOT, well maintained jacuzzi. And, to top it off, we had the best host I've experienced with VRBO/Airbnb. The first week of our vacation was spent in Revelstoke. On our way from Calgary to Revelstoke, we were stopped in Golden due to a highway closure on Roger's pass (avalanche mitigation). It was late and all of the hotels were booked. I called Gabe and asked if the Aurora House was booked that night. It was but he quickly went to work to find us a place to sleep for the night. He went above and beyond. The next time we come to Kicking Horse, we will DEFINITELY book the Aurora House!!
