"Stunning location! This feels like a home that a family has been very happy to have for decades and they've decided to share some of the joy and coziness of the property with others. The property is well maintained and situated on a peninsula on a lake that is gorgeous even when completely frozen. As soon as we got through the door we could immediately relax. The house is too beautiful to have such a gloomy look. Poor instructions from owner. Unable to discard trash as garage was locked. Unfamiliar with propane, I could only get one burner to work on the stove. No cleaning supplies were available for me to use if needed. Bring a wand if you want to watch television. "The house is sprawling, plenty of first floor room, and a top level apartment was great for a family’s needing their own space. The rooms were comfortable and each had a lake view. The kitchen pantry was well stocked with little extras, and there was plenty of fridge storage with two refrigerators. The lake is set behind the house with a huge yard that accommodates many games. The dock and swimming area were tidy, and they had plenty of water boats (boards,kayaks,canoes) and life preservers....

"This was our fourth time staying at Tom’s house for a winter weekend with a large group of friends (which now includes young kids). We love the location, close to Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Hill Fsrmstead, and that you can have dogs. Kitchen is stocked to cook for a group. And plenty of room for a large group! We’re planning to be back next year!"

The area is beautiful, the cabin was warm and comfortable even in the middle of january once i had the woodstove going, very nice quiet area. You won't see a single person anywhere near the cabin, it was pretty secluded and extremely private, but still reasonably close to some small towns. Beds and pillows were good - appreciate that we had both a firm and soft pillow on the beds. Be aware they do allow pets, and since people are too stupid and oblivious that other people exist your stay might include a dog barking for 2 hours because since bad pet owners left their pet in an unfamiliar place...
