Lake Glenville Cottage Fresh mountain air bubbling hot tub and firepit

Introducing the charming Lake Glenville Cottage, professionally designed and newly renovated, and featured in My Domaine, offering an escape for those seeking tranquility and adventure in equal measure. Situated in a gated community with a secluded wooded setting, you are a mere 10-minute drive to The Pines Recreation Area on the shores of the pristine Lake Glenville, Signal Ridge Marina and Happ's Restaurant. Conveniently positioned near the vibrant towns of Cashiers (10-15 minutes) , Sylva/Highlands (35 minutes), and Western Carolina University (20 minutes) the cottage is a perfect balance of seclusion with accessibility to year-round activities.

Offering three cozy bedrooms, a pullout sofa and 2.5 baths, the cottage welcomes guests with a warm embrace of rustic elegance. You will feel right at home as the interior exudes a timeless charm and is thoughtfully decorated with guests in mind. The fully equipped kitchen caters to chef in the group and plenty of space for dining together inside or out. Between the great room with plenty of seating and a wood burning fireplace or the den with a big screen tv, there is space to gather together. The bookcases contain a large variety of books (everything from Nancy Drew to self-improvement to thruillers and even some novels based on the local area.) You can use the board games to enjoy some family time in front of the fireplace.

Step outdoors and take in the fresh mountain air, while listening to the babbling creek at the edge of the property. The backyard includes a custom built brick oven with all the necessary accessories to cook a Neoplitan style pizza or a steak. The hot tub offers a relaxing soak under the open sky, while the solo stove or standard fire pit invites evenings of storytelling and s'mores. You're also welcome to bring your four legged family member. Whether you're coming for the hiking, exploring the lake, or simply savoring quiet moments on the cottage porch, Lake Glenville Cottage ensures an unforgettable escape!

Beautiful home in the mountains
Great house with all the amenities you need -- hot tub, fire pit, fully stocked kitchen, lots of areas to hang out and relax. We came with three adults and one child and everyone had a great time and was so comfortable. Great location, close proximity to Highlands and super close to Lake Glenville. Great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway.

House is beautiful, location is remote!
I have never reviewed a property that we have rented but felt it might be helpful for other renters. The house and property are pristine. The house is comfortably decorated and has everything one can image you would need down to all necessary items to make s'mores. We enjoyed the hot tub and quiet setting. That being said, we had ZERO cell phone service. Wifi was great but we could not make or receive phone calls from our phones while at the house. We are not huge TV watchers but the Olympics started during our stay and we wanted to watch ALL the coverage. The TV Internet connection kept disconnecting. We had to airplay the opening ceremonies from our phones. The house is located at the bottom of a very steep gravel road. We rented a minivan for camp pick up and would have been better suited in a vehicle with four wheel drive. This may not always be the case but it rained a lot while we were there making the roads slippery when trying to get out. It is .4 miles to the paved road, all up hill. We loved the house but wish we would have known these things before renting. All of this may have been in the fine lines and I missed it?

Lake Glenville Cottage
Absolutely loved our stay! Our only issue was finding the house. It is so secluded and there aren't any signs on the main road. However, after a couple of days that didn't matter. It was so relaxing and peaceful!

Perfect for a family getaway
My wife and I took our family away for a weekend to simply relax. Our daughter and her husband are expecting their first baby and needed a baby-moon before he gets here. Our son and his girlfriend enjoyed seeing each other since he graduated from Western Carolina and she's still a student (only 15-20 min drive). The house was perfect for a relaxing weekend. We brought the supplies and made pizzas in the pizza oven, while enjoying a fire in the firepit, and watching an outdoor movie! There is a screen available in the game closet. Just bring your own projector. We used our own Roku and connected to the wifi - later, the kids enjoyed the hot tub. There is plenty of room to spread out and chill. Tokids ns of games and books to choose from and the kitchen is well appointed. Brew a cup of coffee and sit on the screened front porch and rock, or sit comfortably and read. The staircase has a baby gate at the top - a wonderful master bedroom, a smaller room with a queen, and then a kids oriented room with two single beds. You're 5-10 minutes from Glenville and 15-20 from Cashiers. We rented a pontoon from Signal Ridge Marina (highly recommended), and spent 1/2 a day on the lake exploring the coves, seeing beautiful waterfalls, and enjoying a picnic lunch. We'll be staying here again!

Outstanding home- remarkably decorated
My wife and I recently stayed at this cottage over Memorial Day weekend with our two sons. It’s not a far drive to Lake Glenville or Cashiers but had tons of privacy and was very relaxing. I can’t say enough about the outdoor space from the fire pit, grill to the wood fired oven, it made for great family time playing cornhole, connect four and s’mores. Last, the house was filled with all the small things that most rentals lack. The host was extremely responsive and we’d highly recommend.

Delightful
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay. The home is brand, spanking new in the interior. Kitchen has all new appliances and equipment. Do pay attention to the owners’ comments re: roads, internet and cell phone usage. You will probably lose your GPS tracking so note that when you come to the final crossroads to bear left on their street to arrive at the home. The access roads to the property are indeed steep. I would not want to travel this in the dark. Nor would I want to be running back and forth from the property much during the day. As a result, we enjoyed our dinners back at the house and planned our daily activities accordingly. The home is exactly as depicted in description and photos, beautifully decorated in jewel tones. Not a bear shower curtain or animal head in sight….blessedly. Loved the many decorator touches by combining antiques/vintage items with new furnishings. Owners provide an ample supply of items i.e., toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwash pods, etc. Not all owners do this, so it was appreciated. House is also stocked with many books and games. Slept well in the King-sized bed. Sitting on the front screened in porch we could enjoy the outdoors while reading. The home is very secluded with a wooded view. Come prepared with your TV streaming account info. so, you can watch your chosen shows. Also note that there is no outdoor grill. There is a brick oven, but that was above our skill set. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful Glenville Lake, Cashiers, Highlands area doing some hiking (stunning waterfalls) and walking around the towns. Thank you!
