Extraordinary location - convenient, accessible to museums and shopping but nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. Feels like a nice kept secret. The property itself is a bit quirky - decor and facilities are old - nowhere near luxury but pleasantly sufficient. Bed and bedding are surprisingly comfortable. (Bed is slightly firm which I like). Amenities are lovely and room has coffee and tea kettle - along w a daily fresh bottle of water. I would stay again for sure.

Excellent facilities. Loved the sweets and Prosecco freely available in reception. Room was good size. Bed really comfy. Spa and gym pretty decent for the size and price of hotel. Walked from central Amsterdam in about 35 minutes and very easy to navigate on the tram if needed

Tulip was definitely a unique place to stay! The room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The fresh fruit and snacks were really nice warm welcome. Tulip in a great safe neighborhood, with walking distance to everything we needed it. David was an amazing host! Very friendly, professional and very helpful. Room for price was a little tacky Yet large...and breakfast was very limited For the price chgd...great location But price for value not great..

My family and I loved our 6-day stay at De L'Europe. From check-in to check-out, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is wonderfully located at the intersection of two canals, so you have water views on either side and one has easy access to the major tourist sites, restaurants and shopping. The public spaces and rooms are all very clean, the rooms beautifully furnished, and the bathrooms luxuriously appointed. The best part of the experience De L'Europe was the staff who were absolutely top notch. Re restaurants, they have a lovely bar and casual dining restaurant by the canal. They serve a wonderful breakfast, also in a beautiful canal-side restaurant. They also have a Michelin 2-star restaurant on property where we had dinner one night. I must say that I have had better Michelin dining experiences, even at 1-star restaurants, including in Amsterdam. But the staff were wonderful and the wines and non-alcoholic beverages were quite interesting. When we are in Amsterdam again, we would stay, without any hesitation, at the De L-Europe. Highly recommend without any reservation!!
