Only 5 minutes from town, had everything we needed and it was perfect for kids and dogs (other than not having an area for them to go potty for the latter due to the mountain). We saw a bear several days in the backyard.

My family and I spent the kids spring break in Gatlinburg and this house was exactly what we needed! It was the perfect size for us! It was secluded yet close enough to town. The house was clean and had pretty much everything we needed! I would definitely stay here again!!!

This was a fabulous vacation. The house was amazing. The owner was very quick to respond. I feel that the location was amazing. It was close to Gatlinburg but yet up in the mountain to give you a wonderful getaway. The only drawback was that the hot tub was not functioning due to bear destruction.

Wonderful stay with family
Place to meet up with adult kids. Close to everything but still in woods. Saw Bear several times. Enjoyed having meals at cabin. Exactly as owners described. We hiked a nearby trail, spent day in town and appreciated hot tub and time relaxing on deck when back at property.

PERFECT

Overall a nice place to stay, and there was some cleaning things that could’ve been done better like cobwebs on the chandeliers, but there were individual bags of chips underneath the bed in the loft and the dresser upstairs. I don’t know how long they were there, but we picked them up and threw them away. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

The Wedding
Everything was perfect! The only thing I would do is be more specific about how the layout of the home is. We were hoping there were 2 bedrooms on the main level. We had an elderly person as part of the group. Unfortunately, she was unable to navigate the stairs. Everything worked out well nonetheless. The amount of space was wonderful as well as the ability for individuals to be apart when necessary. More than enough room!

Nice getaway
Overall, my stay with my friends was amazing and we loved the location. The only issue was some cleanliness. There was what looked like a bit of mildew/mold in one of the bedroom closets (possibly from outdoor water damage seeping through). The microwave handle broke off as we tried to use it, however it didn't completely ruin anything as we could still use it. Other than those, it was a great stay. Loved the location, the size of the property and the hot tub!

We loved the bears!
The cabin was extremely noisy. I slept in the lower bedroom that is nearest the hot tub end. Between the constant roar of the hot tub and hearing every footstep of those in the dining and great room, I did not sleep the first 2 nights. We have stayed in many cabins and condos and we have never had to wash all the towels and leave them folded on the dryer and unload the dishwasher before we left. There was only 1 dish towel. We loved the surroundings, trees and all the bears that came to visit!

Wonderful
Wonderful stay! Host provided lots of toilet paper, 1 paper towel roll, 1 dishwasher packet, 1 small dish soap container, a few trash bags, a hair dryer, and a few travel toiletries. It was very foggy when we stayed and was extremely hard to drive after 8pm in the mountain. Hot tub was wonderful. Beds were comfortable. There were even a couple of spices in the kitchen! Loved the puzzles and the games that were left for us to use. Tv's are a bit hard to understand, it would be awesome to have a cheat sheet there for us and maybe label the 4 remotes that are with each tv :)

AMAZING!!
A week to remember!! We drove up from Florida to witness the leaves change colors and experience the Fall season. This mountain chalet was perfect. It was close to everything from taking a day trip through the GSM or a drive to Cades Cove. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Ober mountain are minutes away. The check in process was a breeze and the property owners where great and answered all our questions we may have had. The home was in a beautiful location surrounded by many tree’s that displayed colors of the season. We had many visitors too, everything from chipmunks, raccoons and even several bears. It was awesome watching them in their natural environment. The chalet slept 6 adults and 1 child comfortably with room for more. The chalet was very clean and accommodating. The driveway was able to park 2 vehicles with no issues.

Not enough towels or a washing machine!
The house was perfect for our party of 6 adults. However, with 6 adults, a hot tub and 3 rainy days we ran out of towels! Then the washing machine broke. And, I was told it could not be fixed while we were there. We also, came from. Florida, so not being able to do laundry was an issue! It was very cold while we were there. I would bring extra pots and pans if you want to cook a lot!!!

We enjoyed our stay here! The location was gorgeous & close to the heart of things. The drive up the mountain was nerve racking, but that’s to be expected & luckily everyone we passed were also driving slow & careful. There were some minor cleanliness things, like cobwebs on the light fixtures and there were a few dishes I pulled from the cabinet that I had to wash again before using. The microwave door was barely hanging on by one end when we got there and after one use it fell off, we could tell it had been super glued on. I stayed in the room upstairs, it was spacious and the bed was super comfortable! I love the lookout into the living room. Lastly, this is listed as “pet friendly” but the rental agreement says “no pets allowed”. I emailed her about it and let her know the dogs I would be bringing and she approved it, so I’d advise to do the same if you’re booking!
