"Have been visiting this property for quite a few years. The rooms were clean with decent mattress and pillows. Breakfast was good although they went to the robo-coffee which has some real disadvantages. Have noticed an overall decline in the condition of the property. Little things with the furniture and curtains. Paint can make things fresh but it doesn't fix the underlying problems. They need a guy ,handy man, full time just fixing stuff. "i was skeptic by the age of the building and price, but very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort. they are in the process of updating the rooms, but even though the room was obviously vintage, it was super clean and accommodating. Breakfast was as expected, nothing exciting, but good coffee, and something for everyone to get the day started."

"This is our stopover when traveling down to Florida from NY. Walterboro is a very small quaint little town and Microtel is my number one choice for our stopover. I have tried other hotels in the area and prefer this one over them all. They have reasonable rates for dogs and hotel rooms. The room are large, super clean, I go through the bedding with a black light and nothing comes up ever, same with the remote and bathroom. The hotel is off the road, so everything is quiet.
