Amazing outside spaces, authentic, stylish interiors, & lovely views

Recently renovated to the owners high standards, this is a delightful, stylish cottage is perfect for discovering the Cote d'Or and Burgundy.

'La Petite Maison' offers two stylish bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living area, accommodating 4 people in comfort. Bedroom one has a large double bed (160x200) located upstairs from the living area with its own en-suite shower room. Outstanding views lead across the valley from the Velux window. Bedroom two is down a few steps from the living area, configured with two single beds (90 x 200) and has a shower room opposite for the occupants of this room to use. An enormous picture window in this bedroom looks onto the garden and the view beyond. Both bedrooms have ample storage for all of your belongings. The light bright living area is an open plan, well thought out space with fully fitted, fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) dining and lounge area that open out onto a beautiful mature garden with meandering footpaths leading to hidden corners. Two further picture windows in the living room allow the garden indoors with lovely views. Children will love to play hide and seek in this enchanted garden and adults will love to relax on the sunny terrace with a stone table and benches, or the shady alfresco dining area undercover offering protection from the sunshine or the odd rain shower. All areas enjoy the wonderful green view across the valley. A quiet and private location to enjoy the peaceful setting. There is space for two cars to be parked off road.

For our younger guests we can provide a cot (positioned in either of the bedrooms) or a fold away bed for an extra child (80x200). There is also a high chair, stair gate, changing mat, toys, books, DVD's at no extra cost. There is a microwave to make baby food preparation easy, plastic plates and cups along with child sized cutlery. A baby's bath can be easily positioned in the larger downstairs shower room. There is also a washing machine.

To complete your stay, we offer home cooked food that can be delivered to you along with the possibility to deliver daily baked bread and pastries.

Quiet Country Cottage
We had a very enjoyable stay at La Petite Maison! Sharon was a wonderful host and provided us with delicious meals! The area is charming and close enough to the major sites in the area, and close to the Dijon rail station. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Peace and quiet
A well needed break in the beautiful countryside. The gite was as seen in the pictures. Lovely chance to chill out and unwind. Sharon was a great host and even delivered fresh bread and pastries in the mornings. Would definitely recommend to others and would consider re visiting. Great holiday. Many thanks.

Fantastic Host and Getaway
This was a great experience in a location that was central to so many neighbouring cities/villages. We had a great stay that was only enhanced by our host, Sharon. Great and open communication and we would recommend availing yourself of her home cooking for both dinner and breakfast. Simply delicious.

Excellent house in beautiful countryside.
Had a great stay in this lovely house. Sharon the owner was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The house was very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The bed was super comfy and large and had good linen. The area was really beautiful. There was a gas BBQ outside under a large shaded roof. Lots of beautiful places to visit close to the house. A very calm peaceful experience, much needed! Lots of English channels on the TV if needed. Warm and cosy too. Would have no hesitation booking again.

Perfect as the picture!
We felt like we really saw France! Stayed in this beautiful cozy cottage in the countryside, close to everything we wanted to see and do, but quiet and restful at the end of our day. Proprietors Gregoire and Sharon made the stay more memorable than we could have imagined - we HIGHLY recommend the chef-prepared meals and the basket of chocolate croissants each morning.

A lovely home from home gite. We've been twice and booked a third time! The views are fantastic. The owner is very friendly and helpful and she provides excellent accommodation and a great folder of things to see and do. It's a very relaxing place with a lovely garden containing several seating areas and covered BBQ area. Highly recommended.

Amazing cottage, beautiful location
We had a fantastic week at La Petite Maison. The cottage itself is perfect, with everything you can possibly need. It is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The views are stunning and gardens are very relaxing. The morning deliveries of bread and pastries, and delicious food prepared by Sharon were the perfect addition to making our holiday relaxing. There are lots of beautiful, interesting places in the surrounding area to visit. We would highly recommend a stay here and also ordering some of Sharon's delicious home made dinners!

Lovely property set in beautiful rural countryside - very comfortable & well-equipped.
We had a delightful 2 weeks staying at La Petite Maison. Sharon has created a charming cottage and has thought of everything from the complimentary Crème de Bourgogne and other goodies on arrival, to the little bottles of gorgeous shower gel, body lotion and shampoo in the bathrooms. The garden is very pretty and has various seating areas depending on your mood and the time of day. Sharon is on hand whenever you need to call upon her for advice, recommendations and suggestions - always with a smile! The area is beautiful and is really for lovers of the rural countryside who want to get away from it all. There are some wonderful, dramatic medieval villages around to explore as well as various walks and cycle paths along the Canal de Bourgogne. All in all it was a very relaxing holiday.

Very enjoyable week
Just had a lovely week at La Petite Maison,17-24th June 2017. Sharon and Gregoire are a lovely couple,very helpful and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible.We enjoyed Sharon's excellent meals on 2 nights and would definitely recommend the Beouf Bourguignon and the Duck au Vin,both are restaurant quality. The house has everything you could need and is very clean and comfortable.The garden is also lovely with different seating areas,including a covered dining space,very useful in hot weather. Sharon gave us tips on where to eat out..La Grange at Flavigny is a must.She also recommended Domaine Flavigny-Alesia for wine,which also proved to be an excellent choice,we brought home some excellent reds from there. Rural retreat, tastefully decorated
We could tell La petit Maison had recently been renovated, a stylish interior with thought of providing everything that was needed for our stay. We were two couples and the layout was ideal offering privacy with plenty of areas to be together. We loved the outside and dined out every evening under the protection of the covered area. Delightful!

A very private cottage
A lovely 2 weeks in La Petite Maison. Very nice garden for reading, eating and relaxing. Extremely private and located in a very quiet spot. Very much enjoyed exploring the area and sites, Sharon the owner, recommended some good places to go to. (Her cooking is VERY good - be sure to try!) I Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful gite
We loved this gite and decided after only a few hours that we wanted to come back. It's been beautifully renovated with a wonderful eye for modern colour and design but still in keeping with its age and character. The views are fantastic, the bed is very comfortable and the house is well equipped with everything needed. It is within easy reaach of Dijon with the interestin Owl Trail, also many other medieval towns and castles, and the source of the Seine. Outside space is excellent with several seating areas. The owner is friendly and helpful and provided a lovely welcome pack for our arrival, as well as a very informative folder of things to do and places to visit. Highly recommended.

Peaceful and very quiet stay
We had a lovely 2 weeks at petite maison, sharon and gregoire have made it a very comfortable place to stay with everything required there for a holiday, the gite was extremely clean and tidy for our stay. Sharons baguettes and gregoires plum jam make for a perfect combination. Highly recomended

A lovely property set in a peaceful and tranquil location.
We spent three weeks at 'La Petite Maison' in July 2016. The property has been tastefully renovated and is equipped with everything you could need. The property is located in a very peaceful valley with no passing traffic. There is plenty to see within a short drive and Dijon is only an hour or so drive away. There is also a large supermarket 20 minutes drive away that has everything you need. Sharon offers a delivery service for bread and fresh croissants. We took advantage of this and It was wonderful to wake up every morning to the freshly delivered warm croissants. We had a wonderful stay and would have no hesitation in returning there.

Lovely peaceful place
We stayed for a week (26th June-2nd July) and were lucky to have sunny, warm weather. The directions took us straight there and everything was as described. The property is exceptionally well appointed with everything you need. It is in a really quiet location and the internal layout means it would be suitable for 2 couples sharing.. We made good use of the outdoor space and the covered eating area. The owner Sharon visited on the first night and was very friendly and welcoming - the meals she provided on our first and last nights were very good. Would certainly recommend

Peaceful country retreat
Very nice cottage,refurbished from scratch recently. Excellent attention to detail and clever forethought on the part of the owners mean that the accommodation and facilities make for a most comfortable stay and maximise the enjoyment to be derived from the stunning views over the valley. The secluded garden and its furniture (including a covered dining area and barbecue) would be great in hot weather (unfortunately during our stay it rained incessantly most days!). The cottage was clean and obviously well maintained; it generally conformed to its advertised description, though some might find the upstairs bathroom rather small. The owners, Sharon and Gregoire, are charming, live very locally and are on hand to deal immediately with any problems that arise..On the day of our arrival, we had ordered a dinner to be cooked and delivered by Sharon; this was delicious and saved us going out to find a restaurant, of which there is a dearth locally. Further afield, within 15-20 mins drive, there are a variety of restaurants to suit different pockets and tastes--details are set out in Sharon's instructions in the cottage. We made trips to Beaune (about one hour), Flavigny (including the winery) and Fontenay Abbey (a must), but really enjoyed most of all being at the cottage and drinking in its peaceful atmosphere. We would certainly recommend it with very few reservations.

Our little sanctuary!
We were looking for a week of peace and quiet, following the long drive from our daughter's wedding in Spain. La Petite Maison ticked all the boxes! Sharon's communication from start to finish was excellent. We ordered one of her home made meals for our first night which was absolutely delicious (summer chicken and chocolate mousse). Her warm welcome on delivering the food was very much appreciated and we felt at home immediately. The house offered everything we needed and more. Stylishly decorated, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Although the weather was cool we enjoyed a barbecue in the lovely outside area, which was a delight - birdsong being the only sound we could hear. We hope to return soon when we have more time for sightseeing and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending La Petite Maison. Thank you Sharon - it was a pleasure to meet you and to stay in your lovely home!

The best of Burgundy !
This is our second stay in this lovely, out-of-the-way area of Burgundy. Hosts Sharon and Gregoire are delightful - welcoming, friendly and helpful... Not to mention great cooks ! You can order up any number of tsaty regional specialities and they will be delivered to your door - a real treat after a long drive or train ride. Both "La Petite Maison" and "The Barn" are well-appointed, stylish and comfortable. Nearby day trips include Fontenay Abbey, Dijon, Noyers, Semur-en-Auxois, Flavigny, and several stunning chateaux. Plenty of shopping and several excellent restaurants within a short drive. Can't wait to return !

Goed verzorgd huis op rustige locatie
Dit is het Frankrijk waar je veel over hoort met het platteland wat er verlaten bij ligt. Dorpen en gehuchten waar nog maar weinig mensen wonen. Daarnaast ie de natuur mooi voor fietsers en wandelaars en is er genoeg te zien.
