This location was quaint and charming, but COMPLETELY different than the listing described. This is NOT an entire house as the listing leads you to believe! There are two suites on the top floor, and the property managers live in the home. There is no true access to the garden, and it is uncomfortable to use the living and dining rooms downstairs because the owners come and go through the kitchen that you’re not allowed to use. Days before your stay, you’ll receive an email with details that clue you into the fact you will be sharing a house with the owners, but it’s too late to cancel at that point. The place is cute, but could definitely use some upgrades in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We walked around back to see the garden, but it’s a little junky and inaccessible to guests. The property managers are sweet, but they had no idea who was staying at the house, which leads me to believe they do not really manage the rooms or property. The location is great, and easy access to Main St.
If this was listed as a B&B (which it somewhat is), I would completely understand and still may have stayed here. But, it’s an awful feeling to realize you’ve been led to believe something that’s untrue, and then to get to the property and the manager doesn’t even know he has guests staying, and will be in the house with you.
