Islander 6005 is a lovely Gulf-front condo perfect for a family beach vacation or spontaneous trip with friends. Down the hall, you will find the fully-equipped kitchen set with plenty of storage space and all the equipment needed to prepare your own meals while on vacation. The kitchen opens into the dining area and living, providing an open and spacious layout. Enjoy the appealing décor in the living room, which leads directly onto the private balcony that boasts incredible views of the crystal-clear Gulf waters. Enjoy the convenience of having a private washer/dryer.

Create lasting memories with the array of on-site, family-friendly amenities offered at the Islander. Guests can enjoy access to an 80-foot shared beachside pool, heated seasonally along with a large sun deck. Additionally, enjoy the shuffleboard court and separate grilling area with picnic tables, perfect for a family cookout.

We loved our time in Fort Walton. Our "condo" was clean, smelled great, and very accommodating (washer and dryer in unit, kitchen well stocked with necessary utencils and such). The condo was decorated simply, but lovely, a gorgeous ocean view with easy access to the pool and beach. Very clean, smelled fresh and comfortable.

Fabulous View and Condo
My sister and I stayed at this beautiful condo in September, the view was fabulous and the condo was perfect for the two of us. The beds were extremely comfortable and our favorite part was sitting on the balcony having our breakfast and lunch! It was stocked with the essentials and everything was clean! The week of September 12 was a beautiful week of clear crystal waters that felt like bathwater, a dolphin played around us the first day for about 30 minutes and later in the week fast stingrays swim by us! Okaloosa is our favorite place to be ♥️♥️

Fantastic beach view
The view of the beach was fantastic. The patio was extremely dirty. We like to eat outside and we didn’t want to do that at all. The beds were comfortable, the seating was great. Would have like to have had extra blankets for when relaxing on the couch due to being chilly in the AC. There seems to have been a past water leak on the ceiling in main bathroom and there was a little black mold. Would stay at that resort again but preferably not that room.

This was a trip with our daughter and her family. The location is great. We were right on the beach with a wonderful view. The pool is a nice size. The cleaning could have been a little better under furniture. We had a crawler with us. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cookware we needed. My only problem was it is advertised as having 2 king beds and that was one of the main reasons I picked this unit. The description really needs to be changed. Other than that we had a great getaway.

Bit of a mixed review.
Positives: great location right on the beach, that was the main thing we wanted and why I was still happy despite the downsides. The pool is great as well. Negatives: inside the condo was a bit disappointing. The chair that looks very comfortable was worn out and falling apart. The kitchen lacked regular items like oven mitts and the microwave randomly turned on at times unless we unplugged it. The living room lacks common upgrades like a smart tv and the cable went out three days without anything being done about it (not the focus of our trip so still minor). My main complaint is the cleanliness, or lack of it rather. From check in our feet were immediately black and sandy from the dirty floor. The rugs were black and nasty, and it made us question how sanitary everything else was because of it.

Wonderful Condo! Perfect for the family!
Loved the beach view and the elegant decor! Nice and clean. Feels like a home away from home. Would give it all the stars except for broken hair dryer in master bathroom, and a very slow draining tub in the second bathroom. We were also disappointed by the Kerrigan instead of real coffee maker but Vacasa graciously bought a new coffee maker just for us! Will definitely be coming back next year!

Great location and beautiful view
My sisters and I stayed here for my birthday. The condo contains everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Although the closet doors were not on track in the bedroom and the reclining chair in the living room was worn and unstable, we will consider staying here again when we return.

Very comfortable beds and living room furniture. Kitchen was well stocked. Unit could use some maintenance- bathroom fan - towels without stains - a dust pan - pot holders . Coldest swimming pool I’ve ever been in . The front desk gal is fabulous- very helpful. Beautiful sandy beach and incredible sunsets. My family loved this vacation. Honestly- just very comfortable.

Fees are crazy
This home was a nice home, in a great location. However, the fees I incurred with booking through VRBO, or vacasa, are incredibly high and I don’t understand why I have to pay a 232.00 booking fee or 142.00 for a cleaning fee. It’s nuts.

Flawless stay
Beautiful condo - everything was well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The balcony overlooking the beautiful gulf water and beaches is large with a table and four chairs for enjoying a meal while listening to the sounds of the surf. There is also two recliners and a small table which is great for enjoying drinks and snacks or reading a good book.

Fantastic in every way
This is our first time to Fort Walton, as we normally stay in Orange Beach, AL. We arrived to our condo and it was immaculate and beautifully decorated--just like the photos. Everything the web listing boasted was true and the view from the balcony was perfect. The refurbishing is gorgeous - I'm so spoiled that I only rent condos with refurbbed kitchens and this one was better than most. The ice machine in the freezer made plenty of ice, the appliances all worked great, and they had what we needed in that respect. At one point we realized that there were no potholders. I told the young man in the on-site office and he brought some up within the hour! The bed is amazingly comfortable, and this is from my husband who travels for work and usually gets quite stiff from hotel beds. I would love to tuck this bed in my pocket and bring it home--we slept like babies each night. Noise level was moderate and it was only from other guests who were enjoying themselves--none of this disturbed us in the least. Late at night, we were never disturbed by noise. We heard no construction sounds even though a note on the elevator said there might be some. There is a "no-frills" pool as some might see it, but it was perfect for us. There is a leaning ledge all the way around for people our age who soak and lean and chat. Perfect. Access to the beach was just step past the pool and few feet and there you go. This is what I look for in a condo - right on the beach. And the beach is gorgeous and the water so clear. Also, I am squeamish and appreciated that at least when we visited, there weren't jellyfish and crabs everywhere like we have at Orange Beach. I did see that there are little crabs at night for the kids to catch and release, by the way. Unlike Orange Beach, this condo is a mile and a half from the corner with various restaurants, so we took an Uber to avoid the long night walk, but this distance also means it's quiet and easy to use the road-front. I recommend this condo unit and Vacasa in general.
