"Booked a last minute getaway at the Heron House in November 2024. The price was great. It’s adult only, which was nice. We had a room right on the pool area and were a little concerned it might be noisy but it wasn’t. Includes continental breakfast which was better than expected. The room was a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. Bed and bedding were comfy. My only complaint would be the water pressure was very low, but there was plenty of hot water. "We needed to stay close to the Yankee Freedom boat dock to Dry Tortugas. It was about 10-12 minute walk. The room was clean and enjoyable. Inca Peruvian restaurant across the street was great too! "

"What a beautiful location central for UF and Gainesville activities. They made you feel welcome from the moment you drives. The cottages were super cute with great history. I enjoyed my little reading book in Lester’s Place and walking the grounds. And the breakfast was so good. You felt welcome, you felt home and you wanted to come back from the moment you left."

"Decent property in a very good location. Breakfast was a disappointment as it was regular grocery bread, yogurt, etc. No fresh fruits or omelets or oatmeal. It was pretty basic. Some furniture pieces needed TLC."
