Twin Oaks Cottage - Fitzroy Falls

Situated on a 140 acre family farm, the north facing Twin Oaks Cottage is the original home of the property - a self contained 2 bedroom cottage with sun drenched views over the lush pastures of the Southern Highlands. The cottage is situated on our family farm where we live. The cottage is in our house yard adjacent to the main house. While the two buildings are close to each other, we have minimal interaction. We will occasionally pass by the cottage on our way to the sheds but mostly we won’t interact if you chose it that way.

There is a full kitchen, dining table and living room with a gas combustion heater. There is a main bedroom with a queen bed off the living area and the second bedroom has a bed bunk (2 single beds) and a queen bed in the same room. The cottage has 1 bathroom (with a shower) and separate toilet. (A fully assembled cot, highchair and large baby bath are available for your convenience).

Twin Oaks Cottage is accommodation in a rural setting ideally suited for families.
If you want to experience animals you're welcome to watch the lambs, fetch the eggs, and feed the chickens. There's a cubby house, sandpit and swings for children. Stroll the paddocks or go for a family bike ride together into the national park along fire trails. The tennis court faces into the paddock for a great afternoon match.

We are a pet friendly farm. We know how special it is to travel away with your pets. We have a very friendly puppy Labrador who will be also playing in the yard we both share.

For lovers or nature, go for bushwalks out to Fitzroy Falls, ride your mountain bikes or four wheel drive along fire trails through the picturesque Meryla State Forest to explore waterfalls big and small or find the grotto. Turn left out of the gate and you're so close.

Country charm
Beautiful location, with rustic cottage farm vibe. Our eldest enjoyed the stay so much he didn't want to go home. Everything you could ask for a weekend escape. Hope to be back in further to enjoy more of the beautiful area.

Excellent place to stay!
I stayed for two nights and used it as my ‘getting ready’ place for my wedding nearby. It was an absolutely beautiful place to stay and my daughter loved visiting all the animals (especially the super friendly chickens!) We will definitely stay again in the future.

Great Family Stay

Wonderful property for the whole family
Our family had a beautiful time at Twin Oaks Cottage. The house and grounds are in beautiful lush condition, and were very safe for our children (three under 9) to run around and play on. Even a very thoughtful gift basket on our arrival with marshmallows to toast on the fire, carrots to feed the horses, and a lovely bottle of sparkling wine for the grown ups! Would definitely recommend staying at Twin Oaks.

Relaxing family getaway
This beautiful property was as advertised. Clean, tidy, well appointed and private. Check-in was so easy and we were able to take our time checking out. The resident labrador, Bentley, ended up being our guide around the property and was super friendly. We had fresh eggs from the hen house and fed the inquisitive horses carrots. The outdoor fire pit was a winner with plenty of marshmellows being toasted in the evenings while reminding ourselves of just how many stars are in the night sky. The sunrises where quite spectacular also. We will definitely be back again.

Great stay!
We had a wonderful time enjoying the house and surrounding property. Our kids (and dogs) loved the space and loved the easy access to the outdoors, feeding chickens, feeding horses and taking advantage of nearby sights. A Beautiful Country Getaway
A great place to escape to if you want to get away from the city hustle and bustle. The self-contained cottage contains ample resources for a much needed comfortable and relaxing break. The farm provides opportunities for fur baby walks and horse feeding memories.

Great spot in beautiful countryside. Close to picturesque paddocks. Farm animals close by and we given carrots to feed the horses. Superbly decorated cottage. Very comfortable. Great spot to get away from city life and breathe some fresh air. Friendly and responsive hosts.

Outstanding property on a farm. Everything exactly as described online. Very clean and well furnished, with even a portable cot provided. We liked the presence of the animals and especially the kids as the owners allowed them to feed the horses. Definitely would like to come back but this time in winter to use the bonfire.

A great rural Southern Highlands stay
The location was perfect for us and the house was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space for our cavoodle to run around outside. Lots of magpies, cockies, black cockatoos and a few roos around. Bonuses were 6 average daily chicken's eggs and the wonderful spring water. Mobile data was for us marginal being with TPG, not Telstra, ok on the deck but not in the house except possibly in the wc (according to my wife!). This wasn't a problem however.

Twin Oaks Cottage
Twin Oaks Cottage is an amazing place to stay. Very relaxing and calm environment. The Cottage is very cozy and clean. Best place to stay for a retreat. Kate and her sons are very welcoming and accomodating especially Milo ❤️. We fed the horses some carrots and had some eggs from the chicken coop. They even had a welcoming basket with wine, marshmallows and carrots for the horses. They provided everything, you just need to go shopping for some groceries. The bonefire is the best part, they gave us some woods for it. We had barbie and they even had a list of places to go to. They have swings and playhouse for the kids. It’s all worth more than you pay for. Hoping to come back again next holiday.

Hello my fellow travellers, it’s the worst property I ever booked. When I when to the property there were someone already in there. We booked 1 month ago and don’t know how STAYZ run the business. We were all outside with the kids and it was freezing cold . We couldn’t find any house near. It’s was **** bad. If anyone book through STAYZ you better book another property as-well if you want to enjoy your holidays.

Mother, son, dog getaway!
My 14 year old son, dog and myself escaped Sydney to Twin Oaks last weekend. The weather reached a top of 8 degrees on the Saturday and 3 degrees overnight, but the cottage was warm and cosy with heating in every room!! On arrival, the cottage had supplied fresh eggs, a bottle of champagne (which I took home to enjoy with my husband), and some carrots for the horses. In particular we enjoyed the tennis court, the free-range chooks, the 3 horses over the back fence (we even bought an extra bag of carrots at Kangaroo Valley), the paddocks and Milo the choccy Lab. Our dog much enjoyed sniffing and romping about the property and exploring with Milo! My only negative would be that the perimeter of the property is not entirely dog-proof as a couple of the fences are post and rail and easily snuck through by curious pups! The rest is securely fenced however. Kate was lovely and very obliging, and we had a lot of privacy despite being relatively close to the main house. Highly recommended for a relaxing and peaceful stay!

Daughters wedding our stay
Daughter was married at Mali Brae 3.5kms from accommodation. Was perfect for our family. Loved the cottage. Thoughtful fresh eggs and champagne and wood (didn’t use). Carrots also for horses but they didn’t come near us. Warm and cozy and everything we needed for a short stay.
