"Great little spot outside the busy downtown area of Florence. Very spacious room with temperature controls and a nice walk in shower and what appeared to be a recently renovated bathroom. There was a strong smell of fresh paint when we arrived and a ladder in the room but no big deal. Opened the window to air it out and the rest of the stay was a blast. "

"We had a fantastic stay at this lovely villa. We were a group of two families with four adults and four kids ages 5 to 13. Cate, the hostess, was extremely attentive and helped us arrange various activities during our stay. She helped us arrange a cooking class at the villa, a bike tour through Chianti region with a private wine tasting, and a chef cooking a Thanksgiving meal for us (we opted for Tuscan - not American food). We also got to tour a working olive mill. In addition, upon hearing that our flight was changed and we had to leave at 4am, Cate delivered pastries to us from a local bakery the day prior so we would have something to eat on our drive to the airport. The house and the grounds were beautiful. My only regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy them! We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone and stay there again ourselves!"

"Monica and her staff were kind, polite, and extremely Helpful with directions, bringing up luggage, providing bus tickets, and calling a taxi for us. Dino provided us with attentive service at breakfast, which is included. Very reasonable rates for all services and comfort provided. They run the hotel in a very professional manner to accommodate guests. The hotel and rooms are very clean and quaint. A great night’s sleep in they’re comfortable beds and linens. You have access to everything you need there and you feel safe and cozy. A local bus runs every few minutes in the direction of the main attractions. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Florence. "

"It was pleasant surprise as I arrived at this property as it was same day booking when my long standing arrangement with another hotel was cancelled. I was greeted by friendly smiles from Isabella that makes us feel welcome. Good services from Franklin and the next day Giulia the concierge has been nothing but outstanding. They were available to my every beck and call. I would def stay at this place again. The outskirts of Florence is beautiful. A great place to soar in the country atmosphere "

"We had a wonderful stay in Camera Giglio. The highlight of the clean, comfortable space was the terrace accessible directly from our room with a table and 2 chairs for enjoying a bottle of Chianti after a day out and about. For 10€ per person extra, the host Angelica provides breakfast on the lower part of the delightful terrace that features a few tables and seating for lounging. Angelica was very helpful before and during our stay. She ordered a taxi for us for a very early checkout to catch a train to Salerno and to get to the meeting point for our Tuscan Wine Tasting tour. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. Since we are older and have limits to the distances we can walk, we only wish we realized it was further from central Florence than expected. Prepare for 10 minute taxi ride to popular spots like Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the main train station. You will need to call for a taxi because there doesn't appear to be any nearby taxi stands where you can easily walk to. Flagging taxis on the street, of course, is not done in Florence. Also note while towels and a bath mat are provided, small washcloths are not. Those are small details though that are just good to know. We will definitely stay here again. "
