"Friendly staff and lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Wanted to use the pool and jacuzzi and was disappointed to hear there was a £10 charge per person. This seems wrong when he you are staying overnight as a hotel guest. Hotel in great position for shopping, cathedral and the quay. "

"Lovely hotel housed in a beautiful building. Some of the decor was a bit tired but they are working on improving that. Staff were very professional and friendly. Unfortunately we had very inconsiderate neighbours who came back to their rooms at 4am and made a lot of noise waking us up and preventing us from going back to sleep quickly but this obviously was nothing to do with the hotel itself. I would definitely revisit."

"The hotel itself is an interesting and attractive building. The outdoor area at the back was very nice and peaceful with a beautiful white Wisteria. The staff at reception and the restaurant were very helpful, friendly and considerate. The location was convenient for us to explore the local area. We had a very lovely weekend "

"It was easy in every way. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It felt like a family. There was plenty of room in the lounge and dining area. Room was a good size. Better than Premier Inn. Free Wifi. Free breakfast. Note to Management: It might be a good idea to put a clearer sign by the toaster - DO NOT PUT CROISSANTS IN THE TOASTER."

"Absolute gem of a place, this was our second visit as it's location is super and the hotel itself is a bit quirky and non chain. If travelling by train go to Exeter Central as St David's is uphill."
