I particularly enjoyed this part of Sintra which is authentically Portuguese and a bit off the beaten path. "We had a wonderful 2 day stay at the Mill House near Santa Cruz. Carla and her family were incredibly welcoming, generous and warm people. Right after check in we got a tour of the farm that is part of the property and her husband gave us samples of some things they grow there.
