Wonderful Place!
We are so happy with the place. Kids love sleeping in the bunk beds. We got everything we need in the kitchen. There were lots of movies to watch in the TV. The house was warm when you started heating up the fireplace. The host was very helpful and even allowed us to check in early and check out late due to some delayed situations. Thank you and we appreciate much of your kindness to us.

Great location and very warm house
The location is great going to the ski field and how easy it is to still pick up some grocery center in the nearby petrol station. The house is also very warm with the fireplaces in the kitchen and lounge so we didnt need to even have the heaters on in each room. We have 5 kids under 6 and 10 adults and we have not even used up all beds and rooms :) Thanks Max for the lovely stay and we will come back again.

Good family experience
A great house for family or small groups to stay. The place is quite spacious for kids to enjoy. The only thing I noted was a few spider webs in some rooms which can be creepy for people sleeping in upper bunks. We cleaned them for our rooms so wasn't a big deal. The location is also well suited to travellers wanting to explore either side of the snow mountain.

Awesome spot for the family
What a great way to enjoy our winter holiday with our family from the Dessert (Alice Springs). The facilities were awesome everything we needed. Great cooking and serving. House was warm and cosy. Was absolutely awesome to arrive with Max greeting us and all the fires up and running with no end of wood to keep going. Thoroughly enjoyed the location nice and central and overall everyone had fun. Thanks Max for the awesome hospitality and for keeping us well stocked and clearing our rubbish :-)

Lots of space
We had a great stay at Max’s lodge. There we’re 15 of us and it never felt like like we’re on top of each other. There was somewhere fir the kids to play and the adults to relax. The place had all the things we needed for a great trip away with family and friends.

Massive trip to the snow
Awesome location and hosts were super helpful. Host had lit fires for us so that the house was warm and ready for us to arrive. Heaps of beds, and 2 separate areas which made it easy to run 2 different activities at once with our youth. Will definitely return with another group in the future!!

Great place to getaway with friends!
This was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with friends - unfortunately, the weather prevented us from heading up the mountain but we were able to hunker down in the cosy lounge for games. Facilities were great for cooking, and I was impressed by the waste collection set up!

A must visit for anyone travelling to Mt Ruapehu
At a reasonable fee, this place was one-of-a-kind .we were 20 in number but the house was so large it generously accommodated everyone very comfortably. The moment we entered the property on the 31st July , it was spotless and everything was in perfect order. Max, the property owner was easily contactable long b4 the day of our journey. He provided immediate answers to any queries we had . The property owners were generous and very welcoming too. I'll be sure to recommend to friends and family.
