"Lovely lodge location, everything we needed for our stay. A few snags which I contact the host about, a bit disappointed that they weren’t picked up by cleaners or owner. I know you shouldn’t expect anything on arrival, but most places I have stayed always leave a little something like milk & biscuits or the like, but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time. "

"A fantastic property. Incudes everything you can think of, including a dog box which was a life saver as we’d forgotten our dog lead. Great facilities on site, nice short walk to Brockhole visitor centre and close to Ambleside. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back. "

"The Redbrook lodge was beautiful. Ample parking at the property and easy to get to. Everything supplied that you would need for an overnight stay. The bathroom door was a bit tempramental as it is on a runner but i assume it just needed fitting back onto the runner so not really a criticism. The outdoor lights were not working but the warden was quick to come and attempt to fix them, but was unsuccessful. I would still stay again."

"Byemills is a great place to stay.we had such a restful and pleasant stay. Our hosts were brilliant and when there was a brief region wide power cut they were straight to us to ensure we had everything we needed. Easy walking distance to local pubs and a great historical stone circle at Stanton Drew. We loved our stay and made all the more special with it being Christmas. "
