Our treasured Orcas Island home is set on the western side of Mt. Constitution, near Moran State park. Tucked away in the woods, you can enjoy gorgeous views of the deep forest. Sit on the deck and have coffee while deer come close and check you out. Lay in the hammock and watch eagles soar overhead. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. Eastsound, Cascade lake, and Rosario Resort are less than 10 minutes away. Peace and quiet for the heart and soul!

Perfect family vacation

Great home on Orcas Island
This place was perfect for my family including our dog. Bigger than expected, great outdoor area, and a fenced yard. Lots of room for everyone. Very clean and kitchen was perfectly stocked. Most important to us, was sitting in the backyard, in a quiet area, surrounded by trees. Definitely recommend this house.

Perfect place for first-time visitors!
Our group of 5 adults (and one dog) loved this place! Clean. Well stocked kitchen. Bathrooms had Extra towels, which was much appreciated. And Tissues! Excellent location. Easy check in and hosts communicative throughout stay. Will definitely return!

Great pet-friendly house on Orcas Island
Overall, we had a great stay. The house is clean and in a great location — about halfway between Eastsound and Moran state park. We appreciated the fenced backyard for our dogs. Only negative was that there isn’t a ton of seating in the living room (one couch and a few papasan chairs that were low to the ground), which might be something to consider if you’re coming with more than 2 adults (kids probably wouldn’t mind the papasan chairs as much).

Peace and quiet in the forest
It was super quiet at this property and once the sun went down, it was really, really dark. Good stargazing! Lots of wildlife to see. Older house with lots of charm.

Nice home in quiet neighborhood
The house had all the amenities we needed including games and books for kids, a fire pit and a jungle gym outdoors. It was in a quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed our stay. The only negative was that one of the bedrooms upstairs does not have an attached bathroom. Also the curtain rod in downstairs bathroom kept coming down.

Great week at Mandala House
Our group had a wonderful time at the Mandala House. We were two young families and the spot worked beautifully for all ages from the playroom and play set to the fire pit for the adults once the kids were in bed. We had stayed in the general area before so we loved its proximity to Moran SP and Eastsound, and Larry made the whole process a breeze from start to finish.

Birthday weekend at this lovely house on Orcas!
A small group of friends stayed here for a birthday weekend and we had a lovely time, it was in a great spot to explore the island and we made some tasty meals in the kitchen and had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the weekend. The house was lovely and made the trip that much more special.

What a beautiful location and home!
The home is just lovely! I could spend hours sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the sounds of nature. Larry was a great host, very responsive to all my questions. The house was clean and oh so pretty! The beds and pillows were super comfortable too!

Tranquility
A beautiful and tranquil spot. You can sit in the garden with a glass of wine at night or a cup of coffee in the morning and watch hummingbirds flit among the gorgeous flowers. House is warm and welcoming and nicely decorated.

Lovely spacious house
Kitchen was comfortable eat-in and bedrooms were well spaced upstairs and downstairs. Dining room comfortably allowed for 5 of us. Living room could use more comfortable seating. Lovely garden with herbs and strawberries. A drive to anywhere but that allows for great privacy. Lots of toys for our two-year-old.

Mandala house
This is a delightful home near the top of a hill in an excellent location close to Moran State Park, with easy access to Eastsound as well. The house is very clean, has many beautiful wall handings and art work in each room, including several rooms with murals on the walls. The large and bright eat-in kitchen has with a gas stove with a pancake griddle, a dishwasher, and some specialty kitchen items including an All-Clad skillet, a lettuce spinner, and a food processor! Other amenities include a gas grill on the patio, a sitting area around a fire pit and Roku on the TV to allow streaming of movies/shows. We were thrilled that the home is pet-friendly and our dog appreciated the treats and blanket provided to make her stay more comfortable. We definitely will be back the next time we visit Orcas Island!

Amazing Orcas House
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Mandala House! The location is conveniently between Eastsound and Rosario while still feeling private and secluded. Would definitely recommend a car for this property, as it's about 3/4ths of a mile of winding uphill from the main road. The house itself is welcoming and comfortable. We appreciated the decor - you can really tell someone loves this house, it's not just an investment property. There's also a fully fenced garden with some grass areas our dogs enjoyed running around in. Larry was a thoughtful and communicative host. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived and the checkout requests are quick and reasonable to accomplish without having to plan your whole morning around leaving (turn everything off, strip the bedding, etc.) Thanks for having us, we really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful getaway
Had a great Labor Day weekend at the Mandala house. Very well located (less than 10 minute drive to downtown and less than 5 minutes to get to moran state park). The 6 of us enjoyed the house and it’s amenities - what a great place to unwind after a day full of outdoor activities and adventures. The kitchen is well equipped, many beds for all the guests to comfortably stay, two bathrooms, awesome fire pit to end the night... nothing to complain about when it comes to the property. Sure there are rules about using the water and being responsible about the septic system - but from my experience at previous stays at the Orcas island.. that’s expected and part of the island life. Thanks Larry for being such a transparent and communicative host - it was never a concern that I wouldn’t be able to reach you if a problem or a question arose. Had a great time for such an unprecedented year.
