Walk to Cape Cod National Seashore-Salt Pond Visitors Center. Beach Shuttles
This property is in a prime location. Bringing or renting bikes or kayaks? Only 1/4 mile to Salt Pond Visitors Center at the Cape Cod National Seashore and quick easy access to the bike trail. This 3 bedroom 2 bath home is on a large corner lot shared with a one bedroom Cottage. A large, open, partially fenced lawn area complete with horseshoe pits and plenty of on site parking, even for your boat. This early 1900's farm house maintains that charm but with a now open 1st floor plan that accommodates families large and small. Along with a new outdoor shower, the 1st floor has the main bathroom, a kitchen with a gas stove which is an open dining and living room. Also on the 1st floor is the primary bedroom with a king bed. The second floor has another bathroom with a "kid size" shower and two bedrooms. One with two twins the other with a twin and bunks. This property also has a separate 1 bedroom cottage that has been completely renovated, that if available could make it the family compound by the sea that you're looking for. Excellent place for family to gather!
This property was able to comfortably accommodate our extended family, with plenty of space for meal time in the kitchen and socializing in the common areas, and a spacious grassy area for the kids to run around outside.
We had a wonderful experience for lasting family memories at this quaint property!

Clean and spacious home. Great location!
Great home! Very clean and roomy. Plenty of space for our family of four, with a spare bedroom we didn't even use. Perfect location for us. Very close to the Easton and Orleans beaches. Close to restaurants, the bike trail and shops. Owner was very easy to contact and very quick to reply whenever we had a question.

Great Location Needs Some Updates
The location of the property is a 5+! Easy access to the Salt Pond Visitor Center and the beaches of the Cap Cod National Sea Shore! Also just a short drive to Wellfleet and Provincetown.
The house itself was as pictured. The owner was great - checking in with us to see how our stay was going. There was ample parking with easy access to the house.
There were several things that we wished were different. The AC window units were not able to keep the house a comfortable temperature. The unit in the upstairs main bedroom was very noisy and switched on and off throughout the night. Possibly related to the AC issue was the smell. The basement and the main floor had musty smell. As you went up the stairs there was an ammonia order, it was strongest at the top of the stair and outside the bathroom but was noticeable throughout the entire area.
The description of the house did mention that the shower upstairs is small. That didn’t concern me. However, it wasn’t usable. The shower head is mounted on the side wall and is not adjustable. I am 5 1/2 feet tall and the water shot at the side of my head. We ended up having to all share the downstairs shower which made for late nights getting everyone through.
In the kitchen, the dishwasher was amazingly quiet! The knives and some of the other utensils could use an update. We tried them all but none were sharp enough to cut apples, etc.

Great location close to beaches insides need some updating and better cleaning
We loved the location of this house close to salt pond visitor center. House was well stocked and grill was convenient. House was ok had a lot of beds but felt like an overused rental that could benefit from a deep clean and had some quirks. Steps going inside were very awkward and narrow with a hardwood floor overhang onto the first step down that was a bit dangerous going in and out. We were a bit disappointed in the condition of the inside. Too many bugs moths and spider webs around the house. Lots of hodgepodge furniture that seemed out of place and crowded. Lighting inside unit was very dimly lit and dark. The upstairs was small like an attic low ceilings and upstairs bathroom not very functional - shower extra small like a half shower for a kid and toilet too close to the wall. The stairs going up were also very narrow. The beds were not comfortable esp the king mattress just concaved and not firm at all. But we did enjoy our stay at the cape. The outdoor space was nice and we appreciated the towels and linens. The outdoor shower was also very nice. The main livingroom was fairly new and comfortable to lounge in.

Family vacation fun
Was exactly as described by owner and other reviewers. It was very clean. Great location. We had 3 families there and plenty of room. My sister rented attached property which is even nicer. It did have musty smell coming from basement but not a big deal. Entrance steps have shallow treads and steep. No longer has fire pit as shown in pictures (kids a little disappointed.)

Wonderful week in Cape Cod
We had a wonderful week. The house was large enough for 8 (4 kids 4 adults). It was close to many beaches, and to my favorite the coast gard beach. It is nice to bike or take the shuttle to go to this beach. The owner had Quick responses when we needed assistance. I would recommend this property.

Wonderful Wedding Week
We stayed at this property because it was convenient to Wellfleet where my son was getting married. The owners allowed us to have a small dinner for his rehearsal. The house is so conveniently located and there was plenty of room to spread out. We didn't get to do much beach time this time around on the Cape, but we did hike the Salt Pond trail out to Coast Guard Beach which was fun. All in all, it was a great week and I would recommend this property. And I would highly recommend a wedding on the Cape. It was beautiful!

The house was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious. I
We loved our week at this house. We had 8 adults and there was space to prepare meals, areas for privacy or quiet time
and comfortable sleeping. The living areas for gathering for dinner or watching TV were perfect. Wonderfull time for all of us to reconnect and recreate new memories of vacationing at the Cape as adults.

Relaxing getaway and retreat.
I have traveled to many facinating places for a vacation, but then here in Cape Cod I found a place where I found real rest and relaxation. The home was well furnished and in excellent condition. The house was quite comfortable and met all our needs. The quietude of the neighborhood and the closeness of the beach and shopping added to the benefits of this location. Thank you for providing the board games and I got better at throwing horseshoe.I really appreciate the exhibits on the walls. It gave us something to ponder.😊😊

Perfect Location for Exploring the Cape
Although large for two people, we chose this home because of the location, and it was a perfect choice. It is centrally located, so easy to explore the entire Cape. We did alot of bicycling, hiking and exploring all the towns. It was great not having to drive to the bike path or to the Salt Marsh visitor center and trails the days we went there.
Property is clean, comfortable and Bob was a responsive host while we were researching and booking.

A beautiful home
This is a beautiful home, clean, comfortable and well appointed. As soon as we walked in I knew we had made a good rental decision! Bob was very easy to get in touch with and a great owner. We were only 4 people but the house could have easily slept another family and we would not have been crowded! It has a nice big dining room table and two tables to eat outside, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The house also had air conditioning which was really nice to have the week we were there.
The house is close to Coast Guard and Nauset beaches, and close to the CCRT bike path. My daughter easily ran to the beach several times. (Buy a Cape Cod National Seashore annual pass for $60 rather than pay $25 per day parking fee. You can also easily buy an Eastham town beach sticker for $100 allowing access to bay beaches such as First Encounter. ) There’s several good coffee places nearby, ice cream, mini golf, famous Arnold’s, and it’s close to a very nice Stop and Shop.
We arranged with Bob to bring our dog and she enjoyed playing ball in the large side yard. You can also bring dogs to the National Seashore beaches when the birds are not nesting, and she was able to swim in the local Salt Pond which is walking distance from the house.
Thank you for letting this be our home for a week - we hope to return!

Bob's house is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and we enjoyed many meals outside on the quiet and secluded patio. The location is perfect for exploring the National Seashore and the many sights on the outer Cape. We had a great vacation.

Great place
We enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and comfortable and we liked the style of the furniture and decorations. The owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We love a nice big kitchen table and this one was big enough to eat at and still have a puzzle going at one end. There was plenty of sleeping space for everyone. The kitchen had almost everything that we needed... we would recommend adding an oyster shucker and a shot glass to the collection though ;)
We would definitely stay here again!

Incredibly Surprised
The house is far nicer than the pictures suggest and if you have friends who have access to Coast Guard or Nauset Light Beach (or are willing to pay the parking fees) it's a perfect distance to the ocean!
