« The home is in a great location for walking to Nevada City, and the hosts are very friendly, communicative, and knowledgeable about the area. They definitely improved our night with a recommendation to eat at Dakan - which was amazing! The only cons are that the mattresses are quite stiff, there are no TVs in the house - which could be great if you want to unplug - and there's not a super cozy place to just plop onto a couch and put your feet up while tucking yourself into a soft blanket. « John’s place was beyond what we could have imagined. when we first arrived, there were deer lounging in the backyard. The house itself was very cozy with plenty of space to spread out when needed. The fireplace and windows are spectacular! I wish we had more time to be physically hanging out in the house, but for the short time we were able to be there, it was a very relaxing retreat. »

« This cabin is great. It’s a very short drive to downtown Nevada city, maybe 10 min. It’s super cozy and the hot tub is fantastic. Very quiet and private. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace. There’s plenty of towels and extra sheets if needed. Yes, there’s bad cell service and the WiFi isn’t great but they definitely let you know that ahead of time. We were more than fine with that. The owner communication is great. I highly recommend! »

« We rented the house as two of our daughters live in the area making get together very easy. Our third daughter was visiting from Texas and also wanted to visit with her best friend, so the size and location were perfect.Many deer first thing in the morning and then in the afternoon we were entertained by a rafter of turkeys. The view was very nice and you were just far enough away from towns and traffic. Very relaxing. »
