Alpine elegance with 4 season attraction. New paint, new wood floors

This updated and elegant condo is situated at High Point in Tamarron Resort just 17 miles North of Durango and is surrounded by natural beauty on all sides. It is ideal as an active vacation headquarters for 1-2 couples or as an incredible location for honeymooners. Kids over age 8 are welcome and games and toys are provided for quiet evenings before the fire. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel full-sized appliances and is fully appointed, including a Keurig coffee maker. The living area features a high end leather sofa from Bassett, wood flooring, and a deck overlooking a luxury golf course and mountain vistas. A large master suite has a king-sized therapedic mattress and a washer/dryer unit in the closet. A blow dryer is provided. The second bedroom is an open loft with a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on top, and an office area with desk and printer for working travelers. There is also a queen-sized air mattress with a pump mechanism that prevents air leakage during the night, ideal for kids. Shampoo & cream rinse are provided.

If winter is your season, Purgatory Ski Resort is a 10-15 minute drive. There is also nordic skiing, dog sledding, snowcat skiing and snowmobiling at Purgatory.

The warmer seasons afford an abundance of attractions including the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad with a stop very close to the condo, hiking, biking, fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, and many others. The Music in The Mountains festival provides concerts throughout the area during the Summer. You can now rent electric bikes from the Lodge.

The new fitness center is amazing, with TRX, kettlebells, classes, and full cardio & weight equipment. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool and steam room/sauna in each locker room. The fitness center rivals many professional gyms. The resort fees are paid by owners, so you don’t have to worry about hidden fees.

There are usually two onsite restaurants at Tamarron. There’s a small store within the Basecamp restaurant for forgotten essentials, wine, and other amenities.

Our membership includes golf, tennis, pickle ball, and access to the fitness center and pools.

The small city of Durango boasts more restaurants per capita than San Francisco and is home to Fort Lewis College. It can't be beat for its openness and charm. Please see my links for more information on these attractions.

Nice condo
We enjoyed our stay. We did not realize one of the bedrooms was an open loft and to sleep six the living room/kitchen area had to be turned into a bedroom with an air mattress. Over all a wonderful place and would stay here again.

Perfect condo!
Spacious and up to date. Everything you need! Beautiful area away from busy Durango, but close enough to drive for day trips. We enjoyed Silverton and Durango and loved the peaceful return to our condo where we could sit and relax on balcony. Golf course was great and so was the pool and restaurant at the club. Would definitely stay again! Also, immediate response from owner when I needed help working ceiling fans.

Vacation
We have traveled to Durango for the past 6 years for our vacation and always stay at Tamarron, since we love the golf, pools, hot tub, on-site dining and everything else about Tamarron. This was our first time to stay in this condo, since our previous condo rental got sold unexpectedly a month before our trip. This condo is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. It was a bit difficult sleeping on the pullout couch, but we managed. We had a wonderful time and we are very grateful we got to stay in this condo located in Highpoint with a very beautiful view.

Great condo. Great location
My whole family loves the Tammaron resort. The facilities are a quick drive to Purgatory for skiing. The staff did a great job of clearing the roads along parking lots of snow. My kids loved the outdoor heated pool and hot tub and the fact that they got to enjoy them in the snow. The condo was nicely decorated and furnished. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and back porch. The kitchen was well stocked and appliances were very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Mountain Vacation
This was our first trip to Colorado and this place was a perfect fit. Smack dab in the middle of the mountains. The views were incredible!! A family of chipmunks lived below the back balcony. They were fun to watch each morning while we enjoyed our breakfast. About 20 minutes from downtown Durango. Loved all the property amenities as well. I entered the property with two worries based off past reviews…the pull out couch and the air mattress. Pull out couch 👎. Air mattress was perfect. Yes it lost a smidge of air each night but you just flip the switch to plump it back up. My husband and I (42 and 39) slept on it all 4 nights and never once had any aches. Home was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We were all very happy guests. 😁

A little complicated, but a nice stay
This was a ski condo accommodation, and it was fine. The kitchen was well stocked and the home was fine for what we wanted. The views were nice and the on-site exercise facility/spa was much better than pictured. Also, you should really try the steam shower! I only have one serious complaint, and it was that the pull out couch was absolutely not in good shape. I would be less unhappy about this but we were a large group and needed the pull out couch. The pull out couch leaned to one side and the mattress was thin. We considered just sleeping on the floor or on the downstairs couch, but there were others in our group sleeping on the air mattress. The listing information is likely a couple of years out of date. You will need to use the red notebook that is under the table in the living room to understand everything about the property. The property managers are on-site and easily accessible. We had only minor problems during our stay, and they were able to help us. I had to message the owner to ask about using the television and she answered right away. Over all, this was a good location, halfway between Durango and Purgatory.

This place is great!
I have just returned from a fabulous vacation in Durango made all the better with the perfect condo at at Tammarron. Merçi, Kathie. C'est grace à toi! Consider the following: Location- We wanted mountain views and a touch of isolation, but we also wanted to be close enough to Durango for groceries, restaurants etc. the location at Tammarron was ideal in this regard. The drive to town is relatively quick and easy. Day trips to Silverton, Mesa Verde were easy to do. Resort facilities/staff- My kids enjoyed the pool each evening, most of the time without other guests. Resort staff was polite and responsive. Kathie's condo- this was the best part... never seen a Homeaway so clean and well appointed for a family on vacation. Technically a one bedroom, this place was spacious and accommodating for our family of four. Even more people would be fine too. Every room is large and comfortable, and the beds were great! The smallest room was the kitchen, and I loved it! We ate in several times, and I love the fact that the kitchen worked great for one cook. I didn't let anyone else come in, and it made it much easier to get the meal prep done efficiently without people underfoot New appliances made cooking a pleasure. My kids really appreciated the toys that Kathie provided in the condo. It never occurred to me that there would be some toys, but that was the perfect distraction for my 7 year old especially. Kathie was quick to respond and friendly, and her French is really swell too!

Disappointing rental
we were thrilled with our golf experience at the valley course. Tee times easy to get and conditions of course perfect. worth it. the location is spectacular . Overall we loved the location and could see coming back. Be aware that the million $ highway is Close by and can be heard at all times. Unit is facing East, but noise still can be a nuisance. Regarding the rental. We arrived at 6 pm at lodge front desk to get keys. Our reservation was not registered and it took about 30 mins for them to finally give us keys despite the fact that they had not been able to get a hold of owner. Front desk staff was gracious though not really trained for such a situation. Upon arrival at condo, we were faced with a Condo in disarray. Beds unmade, inflatable bed in living room. Obviously unit Was not ready for our arrival. Went back to front desk, who said they are not Responsible for cleaning but they would help trying to contact owner. This went on for A bit but around 8 pm, after eating at grill on our dime, we were informed that though The lodge was full, a manager approved our stay in one room. Basically a large room out of the 70’s. 2 double bed with polyester blend sheets and old and dirty carpet. At least we could sleep somewhere. the townhome owner called, apologized and informed us that her house cleaner had quit but thought thought she would have cleaned our condo? any one checking? For this condo the managing rental Cy is the owner and this is a side job for her. pleasant person, but not a rental property manager. She assured she would have the place cleaned by 10 am and we could move in then. Disappointing, not much we could say. Next day we were happy to leave the room, thinking about having coffee on the balcony of condo. Breakfast would have been very impractical in the hotel room. We arrived at condo when cleaning manager was about to review the cleaning. What Cleaning I should have said? Not enough time she explained and acknowledged the unit was not meeting her standards. Story short unit was filthy ( photos are available) and clearly had not Been cleaned properly for weeks. I spent 3 + hours cleaning. Great first day! There were quite a bit of Communication with the owner on how to make up for all of This inconvenience.. We never saw her.

The property was amazing but the couch bed was a nightmare and the only air mattress didn’t hold the air so two of us slept in the floor for one night and had to buy an air mattress for the other two nights. Also the showers were clogged and the bedroom bathroom overflowed. We paid a lot of money to sleep on the floor and not use one bathroom for our three night four day stay. Again the place was beautiful but We will not be staying there again.

Our unit was heaven on earth.
We were thrilled the moment we walked in. The amenities provided were more than we expected, and the few things we did need were so minor they were no problem. The view was amazing, and we watched hummingbirds and grosbeaks every morning while enjoying our coffee on the balcony. We would definitely return to this condo.

We came to Durango to ski at Purgatory. The shuttle was a huge convenience! We were there during a winter storm and driving up the first day was awful. Used the shuttle the next day and it was great. The property itself was nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Durango stop
Lovely spacious condo in peaceful setting with easy access to great hiking and all that Durango offers. Very well equipped kitchen although we did no cooking this trip. Relaxing patio we wished we’d had more time at condo to enjoy. Highway traffic kept John awake, but I slept well with windows open in comfy king bed. We hope to return one day and stay awhile. Thanks for the hospitality!

Vacation in the Rockies
The condo as well as the entire complex was beautiful. The condo was everything it was advertised to be. The view from the deck was beautiful and a great place to relax after a long day of trail riding.
