We took a chance on Bugle Hollow as it didn't yet have any reviews. We booked the lodge for a long weekend hoping to see some nice scenery, have some peace and quiet, and hopefully see some elk. Bugle Hollow Lodge delivered all three in ample amounts! We got to watch a beautiful elk herd every morning and evening, feeding only a few yards from the lodge. We watched two bulls sparring each morning, which was amazing to watch - we were even several weeks before the official start of the rut. Apart from the elk, which were awesome enough on their own, there was an albino whitetail fawn and a red fox that we watched on the property as well.
The lodge itself is beautifully crafted with high end appointments at every turn. The views of the mountains from the front of the lodge, the beautiful wrap around deck, and the amazing kitchen are just a few of the highlights.
The only cons that our group experienced were the communication from the host, Evolve and the price. We had a few questions that we asked prior to our arrival and they were never answered. Luckily, the owner of the lodge was around and came to greet us and answered a lot of them. Lyn is a really nice guy who loves wildlife and in particular, elk. He told us all about the history of the property and the effort that went into building the lodge.
The lodge would be a great getaway for a handful of couples for a long weekend. The only downside as mentioned before is that it may be too costly for just two or three couples unless there's a very large group like we had. But, if the cost isn't a factor, then you will not regret booking Bugle Hollow. We absolutely loved every second of our stay there and hopefully will get to go back one day. The lodge is an absolute hidden gem. Book it! You won't be disappointed.
