"Very nicely appointed room. There is a living space, kitchen and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The shower was great with a large shower head and a foot rest for shaving (I almost never see this in hotels). Parking was about $33 a day but at least it was very close and safe. Hot breakfast was good and the breakfast room was large and clean. There is a rooftop bar but we didn't get a chance to go. I would definitely recommend this property."

"The Francis Marion was surely a property of note a hundred years ago. Today it is a bit tired. Everyone we interacted with was super nice and helpful-- from the valet to the desk to housekeeping and even the manager. Great service. The building itself is in need of an update. Comparing pricing in Charleston, however, it is still a solid value because this town is expensive!"

"Excellent mini vacation here . Very friendly and welcoming staff from the valet , the front desk and check out. The room was very clean and comfortable bed. "

"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....
