Spectacular Lake Michigan Views/Beach Access from Douglas Lakeshore Beach House

Newly remodeled Douglas Michigan Lakeshore family beach retreat situated roughly 2.5 miles from downtown Saugatuck. The views are breathtaking from multiple decks overlooking Lake Michigan. There are many bike and/or walking trails near the cottage with more than 3 miles of beach to walk from the cottage's private beach.

The cottage provides endless shoreline and panoramic views from almost every room and has sleeping arrangements for 10 people. Accommodations include:

-Upper master bedroom with king bed and in-suite bathroom, stand-up shower and bathtub.
-Upper bedroom with queen bed
-Lower bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom(not connected) (stand up shower)
-Upper bedroom with twin bunk bed and two single beds

The cottage has two living room areas, one upper and one lower, both with walkout access to expansive decks with Adirondack chairs.

Cottage access and parking available for up to 4 cars, both at street level. Your family lake shore experience awaits!

Amazing stay!
We loved our visit. The house is right on the beach and easy to access. The beach is beautiful and full of sea shells which made my kids super happy. My elderly family members who joined us thought the house was beautiful and comfortable for them too. Great stay!

A fantastic family get-away
What a beautiful place for a family get-away! It was the perfect set up for our family (three adult children and their spouses and two young ones, ages 3 and 1). We had a wonderful weekend with gorgeous sun sets and lovely walks on the beach.

Our family of eight (6 adults and 2 young children) had a fun vacation at this property on Douglas Beach. The house is bright, roomy, comfortable and well appointed. The location provided easy access to the beach and other fun activities like the biking, boating, and visiting Saugatuck. Wish there were a crib and high hair for our 2 year old. We hope to return.

Stayed May 10-12 with group of friends. The house is in great location with perfect set up for our group. Loved the hot tub and the beach. We missed the Holland tulips by one week due to weather but got the Northern Lights and that was amazing. Will definitely visit again!

Lovely lake house
This is a wonderful cottage on the beach in a great location. We walked and biked into Douglas and Saugatuck. The beach is beautiful, and the house is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and fully stocked with everything you need. Highly recommend!

Lovely Home right on Lake Michigan
This home is beautifully decorated, very well stocked with high end amenities, and has many lovely features: Large deck and table, hot tub level, deck near water. Walking on the beach is fabulous. The kitchen is perhaps better stocked than mine! Plastic for outdoors and lovely dishes, glasses etc for indoors. Truly a lovely getaway celebrating with friends!

We loved our short stay at the pink house! It was incredibly clean and obviously very well maintained. We rent properties in Saugatuck/Douglas every year with our families and this was our favorite. The view of the water is incredible and the house is appointed with everything you might need. We had great communication with our host and we would love to stay again.

Friends for over 50 years that we meet every year somewhere. This house in Douglas was the perfect spot. We loved the living room area for gathering and the deck for Happy Hour. We were able to enjoy Lake Michigan from the house as well as down by the beach. Perfect spot. Thank you.

Fantastic Property
We stayed at this house for a winter getaway. It did not disappoint! The views are incredible, and in the 2nd floor primary room, we fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the waves. The house has 3 full floors in which to spread out, with 4 bedrooms and lots of beds. The kitchen was well stocked, so cooking was easy. The area is picturesque; we walked the beach, around the neighborhood, and even to the nearby Woosah Outside Coffee store. We will definitely try to stay here again!!

Amazing Stay!
We had a beautiful weekend at the Pink House! Just walking in, everything was what we expected and more! The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could need/want, even kids plates and utensils. The beds were wonderful, the entire living space was cozy and easy to live in for a weekend. Not to mention the views from the house were spectacular! Our hosts were fantastic! Even the weeks before our trip, Bob was easy to get a hold of for any questions and was very accommodating! Just a gem of a place all around! We highly recommend this home!

Magical Vacation!
Our vacation was a magical family reunion. The house was perfect for our needs - beautifully designed and decorated, with many amenities that made it both very comfortable and family friendly. We visited slightly preseason, and had the beach practically to ourselves! The sunsets were stunning, the tree canopy majestic. We walked almost daily to a nearby outdoor coffee shop, just past a small bird sanctuary. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive. We felt very fortunate that they were willing to share their much loved home with us.

Magical Perfection
Every thing about our stay was magical. The property was in pristine condition - exceptionally clean and cozy. Prompt responses to all questions before we arrived. Comfortable beds, beautiful views, yummy snacks and coffee provided, HEAPS of games and puzzles that thrilled my teen, a fully stocked kitchen and showers with essentials and fluffy linens provided. We enjoyed an almost full moon perfectly positioned and reflected over the water, and even the sunrises were beautiful in cotton candy colors over the lake. We hope to return as soon as possible!

Family vacation
This house was amazing! The views were spectacular. I can’t say enough good things about this home. It was very clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bathrooms were also fully stocked with full size shampoo and conditioner. Beds and bedding were all very comfortable and there were plenty of towels for everyone. We went in February but actually had pretty great weather. Location can’t be beat. Minutes to downtown Saugatuck and a short car ride to South Haven and St. Joe’s and Holland. Would love to come back when it’s warmer because the beach was amazing! Thank you for a memorable family vacation.

Return to The Pink House
Once again we gathered all our children and grandchildren at your beautiful home on Lake Michigan. We loved our stay so much the previous year that we decided unanimously to come back. The home is in such wonderful proximity to all that Michigan offers. Steps down to the beach where so many memories were made, walks to Outside Coffee and The Root Beer Barrel. And visits to Saugatuck and Holland were enjoyed by all. The sunsets were breathtaking from the 3 decks . When we arrived we noticed the air conditioner wasn’t keeping up with the higher temperatures that day. Even though it was a weekend, the problem was promptly taken care of . We truly appreciated the quick response. We have already booked our family time for next summer!
