Dois Irmãos Hill consists of a pair of rock islands rising from the ocean beside Sancho Bay, Cacimba do Padre Beach and Porcos Bay. The twin rock formations are part of a network of jagged rocks sprouting from foamy currents and embellishing the view from the beach. Capture photos of these iconic peaks standing in aquamarine water with a backdrop of blue sky.
Relax in the small, secluded stretch of sand of Porcos Bay and enjoy the views of the twin peaks. This is an ideal spot for picnics or a few drinks among friends. Go snorkeling or diving in the clear water around these natural towers. Wander out into the shallow water surrounding the enormous rocks to get a sense of their sheer size.
Watch the sunset from one of the beaches offering views of Dois Irmãos Hill. In the evening, the hills form a brooding silhouette against the red sky.
Wander along the Golfinho Trail that wraps around the back end of Sancho Bay. Take a break from the walk at one of the many viewpoints of the beach and Dois Irmãos Hill. Note that the site’s name is Portuguese for “Two Brothers,” in reference to the similarity between these twin peaks that stand side by side. Its adjacent beaches are open at all times and are free to visit.
Dois Irmãos Hill rock formation is just off Cacimba do Padre Beach on the northwestern shore of the island of Fernando de Noronha. The hills are 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) northwest of the Aeroporto Fernando de Noronha. Arrive by bus from other parts of the island and walk a few minutes to reach the hills.
