"Not great for couples / friends travelling unless you have young kids. Basically a mini resort hotel filled with families and young children. Onsen was decent and the outdoor pool is nice. Property is in the middle of nowhere, about a 40min drive to the nearest town. You do get a breakfast and dinner buffet included and while the food is fairly good its the same every day."

"Check-in was a little odd using a machine, but there was an employee who helped us. The nearby lake was beautiful, although we didn't have the clearest view from our room. The free sake was fun in the lobby. Breakfast was also tasty. The Japanese-style mattress (futon) could have used a bit more padding."

"The view of Lake Touya was superb. We had a small room for 3 but I didn’t mind. We had somewhat overcast days so the mountains in the lake was a bit blurr but it made the scenery more mythical."
