"Victoria House is a boutique hotel in downtown Frederiksted, right across from the water. The hotel is eclectic, beautiful and relaxing and it felt like home. Each room is special and welcoming. There is a small wading pool surrounded by nice pool chairs and tables. On site there is a bar called Ruff Night, run by a dog rescue and adoption group. Some days puppies are there! "Our cottage Castaways is a bit rustic but have all the basic things and is comfortable. They had some issues with water supply due to island wide outage, but it was fixed within a day. The beach is very beautiful, easy access and you can snorkel for hours right at the beach, lots of tropical fish, sea turtles. Our cottage was toward the back of the property, so very quiet. "The location of this property was great. The shoreline was 10-15 yards from our patio. The beach is stony and was best if I wore water shoes. The swimming pool was good, but we used it only once as beaches were so accessible. We had a rental car, which was needed for us to get around and to explore the island. "The host is above and beyond what you could ask for. I definitely recommend this experience for any nature lover. The site was definitely worth the stay to hear all the beautiful sounds of St Croix. One of our favorite parts was watching the lizards in the grass behind the camp stove, there was such a variety and they just hung out without worry of being watched. The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description.
